Edward Lee Morgan, February 19, 1972
Throughout the 1960s, American jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan recorded twenty albums as a soloist and also appeared as a featured artist on other musicians' albums. The last recording was made by Lee Morgan the day before his death, in February 1972.
The trumpeter was killed early in the morning of February 19, 1972 on the stage of the New York jazz club Slugs during a concert of his band. Impressed by the quarrel that occurred before the concert, he common-law wife Helen More shot him as the musician walked up to the stage. According to eyewitness accounts, Miss More entered the club and called Lee Morgan by name. He turned around and Mor shot him. The doorman grabbed her wrist and snatched the gun from her hand. Helen screamed, “Honey, what have I done?” and rushed to Morgan's body. The bullet hit the chest, death occurred almost instantly. Morgan was 33 years old.
Helen More was arrested and brought to trial. After her release in 1978, she returned to her homeland of North Carolina. She died in Wilmington, New York of heart failure in March 1996.
John Lennon, December 8, 1980

Around 2 p.m., photographer Annie Leibovitz arrived at the Lennons' apartment to do a photo shoot for Rolling Stone magazine. At 3:30 p.m., after filming, Leibovitz left the apartment. Around 5 p.m., John and Yoko left the house to board a limousine that would take them to New York's Record Plant studios to mix "Walking on Thin Ice" (Ono's song, accompanied by Lennon's lead guitar).
As Lennon, Ono and the RKO crew walked by, the would-be killer silently handed John a copy of the Double Fantasy album and a pen. He smiled and wrote on the copy: “John Lennon, December 1980.” John asked, “Is this all you wanted?” - to which Chapman replied: “Yes. Thanks, John"
At approximately 10:30 p.m., after working on "Walking On Thin Ice" for four hours, the Lennons left the studio and decided to return to Dakota. Instead of leaving the limousine in a secure courtyard, the Lennons left it directly on 72nd Street. John walked slightly behind Yoko. He glanced briefly at Chapman as he passed him and continued walking. Seconds later, as the Lennons approached the arch, Mark David Chapman quickly fired five hollow-point bullets from his revolver at John. John Lennon died in a New York hospital.
Two hours after the murder, Chapman wrote a statement in which he said that two entities allegedly lived inside him: a large one - very kind; the smaller one who doesn't understand the world, - devil. He also said that he never wanted to kill anyone and had nothing against John Lennon, but his smaller entity, with which he had been fighting for a long time, won and committed the murder. On August 24, 1981, a judge sentenced Chapman to 20 years to life and ordered psychiatric treatment in prison.
Since 2000, Mark David Chapman has been eligible for parole, but all the hearings regarding his release, held eight times every two years, were unsuccessful. In 2012, the parole board stated: “Despite your positive efforts during your imprisonment, your release on currently would greatly undermine respect for the law and trivialize the tragic loss of life you caused as a result of this heinous, unprovoked, violent, cold and premeditated crime."

Igor Talkov, October 6, 1991
The murder of Igor Talkov occurred on Sunday, October 6, 1991 at the Yubileiny Sports Palace in St. Petersburg during a concert of stars Soviet stage. American rapper who performed under the pseudonyms Biggie Smalls, Frank White and, most famously, The Notorious B.I.G. He was the leader of East Coast hip-hop.
Christopher Wallace's second album, Life After Death, released in 1997, won several awards, including the title of "R"n"B Album of the Year" according to Billboard. The album was released posthumously, a few weeks after it tragic death. On the morning of March 9, 1997, Wallace was returning to a hotel in Los Angeles after a party when fire was opened on him from a passing car. The rapper died from five gunshot wounds before arriving at the nearest hospital.
Biggie's public funeral was accompanied by riots. Thousands of people in Brooklyn climbed onto cars and clashed with police to catch a glimpse of his hearse.
The rapper's murder drew public attention to the so-called "rap war" and called for reconciliation on both sides. Rappers from both coasts such as Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Doug E. One of the founders of the American metal bands Pantera and Damageplan, Darrell Lance Abbott, better known as Dimebag Darrell, was killed at his own concert in Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 2004.
That day, during a Pantera concert at the Alrosa Villa club, mentally unstable fan Nathan Gale opened fire with a pistol, killing four people (including Darrell) and seriously wounding two. Dimebag received five wounds, including one to the head, killing him instantly. The musician was 38 years old.
According to police, Gale fired 15 shots and reloaded once. He remained silent during the shooting and was shot dead on the spot by arriving police.
Early theories suggested that Gale was motivated by the breakup of Pantera or a conflict between Abbott and Pantera singer Phil Anselmo. But this was refuted during the investigation. Another hypothesis is that Gale believed Abbott stole the song from him. The book "A Vulgar Display Of Power", for which the killer's mother provided the author with many of Gale's personal notes, states that this is also not true, but due to schizophrenia, Gale believed that the group could read and steal his thoughts and laugh at him.

American pianist and singer, finalist of the sixth season of the popular television show The Voice was killed after her concert in Orlando by 27-year-old Kevin Loibl.
A resident of St. Petersburg (Florida) fired five shots at the 22-year-old singer during an autograph session. Grimmie's brother, Marcus, fought with the attacker, after which the killer shot himself. The girl died in a hospital in Orlando. Loibl's motives are still unknown.

Russian actor Anatoly Otradnov was born in 1982 in the city of Revda. Anatoly's parents were not connected with the world of cinema; his father worked as a military man, and his mother worked as a salesman. In 2004, the actor first appeared on television, performing cameo role in the film "Games of Moths". Thanks to his passion for kickboxing, Otradnov took part in films with a lot of fights.

He called it himself ambulance and in every possible way denied guilt, since he treated Nancy well and never showed cruelty to her. Already in prison, the musician tried to commit suicide, but the attempt ended in failure. The investigation established that the culprit of the accident was a drunken pedestrian who threw himself under the wheels at a red signal, and not the driver, so Leonid Yakubovich escaped with severe nervous shock. Law enforcement closed the case a couple of weeks after the incident. 
Konstantin Meladze
A couple of days before the New Year 2013, producer Konstantin Meladze killed a 30-year-old Ukrainian woman and mother of two children from the village of Kozin. This happened in the area of a pedestrian crossing on the Kyiv-Obukhov highway. The driver was sober, did not flee the crime scene and did not deny that he was driving. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case, but for some reason Meladze was included in it as a witness. He entered into an out-of-court agreement with the relatives of the deceased, according to which he undertook to support the children whom he had made orphans. 
Don King
King is perhaps the most famous organizer of boxing matches in the world. However, the “godfather” of American boxing is also an experienced killer. For the first time, his actions were recognized as justified self-defense: he shot the robber who was attacking him when he tried to escape from the crime scene. The second time he faced justice was 12 years later - after he strangled the athlete Sam Garrett, who owed him some $600, with his own hands.

Talgat Nigmatulin
Talgat Nigmatulin, a handsome man with an exotic oriental appearance (the actor was born in 1949 in the Kyrgyz town of Kyzyl-Kie), was remembered by Soviet viewers from the film “Pirates of the 20th Century,” where he played a not at all positive, but bright character.
Talgat had a difficult childhood: due to the fact that his family had many children and his parents could not feed all the kids, Talgat was assigned to Orphanage. The boy was in poor health, moreover, in early childhood he suffered from rickets. Once at a pioneer camp, a pretty girl refused to dance with a bow-legged peer. Offended, Talgat ran into the steppe, cried for a long time, and then promised himself to make his body beautiful. Since then, he began to engage in sports, and later - martial arts.
But the young man then switched to not only sports. He wrote poetry, went to a drama club, studied ballroom dancing, and dreamed of becoming a film director.
He did not enter VGIK immediately. After the first failure, Talgat did not want to leave Moscow and entered the School of Circus and pop art. While studying there, he became seriously interested in wrestling. Became the champion of Uzbekistan, took sixth place in the USSR championship. In 1967, he was noticed at Mosfilm, offering the role of a White Guard officer in the film The Ballad of the Commissar. After graduating from VGIK, Nigmatulin went to Tashkent and began working at the Uzbekfilm studio. Then his roles appeared in the films “The Seventh Bullet”, “Meetings and Partings”, “The Tale of Siyavush”. Here he began to write and publish a lot. He tried to arrange his personal life by marrying singer Larisa Kandalova. Soon a daughter, Ursula, was born into their family. But the marriage did not last long: Talgat was an ardent young man, he often fell in love, and his wife could not tolerate betrayal.
Nigmatulin gained all-Union popularity after the release of the film “Pirates of the 20th Century” directed by Boris Durov in 1979, where he played the main pirate who attacked with the group sea robbers on the Soviet cargo ship Nezhin, which was carrying a cargo of opium for the pharmaceutical industry. The film became the highest-grossing film in the history of Russian film distribution: in total, over 120 million people saw it in cinemas.
Talgat and his friend actor Nikolai Eremenko abandoned doubles and stuntmen and fought “live.” Talgat perfectly demonstrated what he had learned during his long years martial arts classes.
The story that led to the tragic death of the actor began shortly after the resounding triumph of “Pirates.” In the early 80s of the twentieth century, countless healers, healers, psychics and other charlatans appeared in the USSR. At the beginning of 1985, a split occurred in the “school” of Mirza and Abai. Several students from Vilnius decided to found their own sect. But Abai did not want to allow this. He remembered that among his admirers there is an actor who knows martial arts. And he asked Nigmatulin to come to Vilnius and deal with the rebellious ones. Talgat doubted for a long time whether he should go. According to the memoirs of Talgat's friend Ozoda Akhunova, the actor in life was a very kind and selfless person. He did not value money at all, giving it to everyone who asked him for a loan. And I couldn’t raise my hands to anyone.
On February 11, 1985, the Vilnius ambulance station received a message that a person had died on Lenin Street. Arriving doctors found the deceased on the body. 119 wounds, 22 of them in the head area. The owner of the apartment said that her guest was attacked by hooligans on the street. They didn't believe her. The police quickly found and arrested all the participants in the crime, since even at night the neighbors called the police, complaining about the noise of the fight. But then the people who were in the apartment were able to convince the law enforcement officers that drinking buddies had fought. Talgat, already beaten unconscious, was hidden in the bathroom.
The night before, in the house of one of the “disobedient” Abai started a fight, in which only Talgat did not take part and even tried to separate the fighters. Then he left, and Abai and the others went to look for him. When they met again in a house on Lenin Street, the “guru” commanded the students from the threshold: “Beat the traitor!” The beating lasted eight hours. Why didn’t the actor-athlete try to resist, didn’t call for help? There is still no answer to this question. But, most likely, the attack happened suddenly and one person, even a well-prepared one, is unlikely to be able to defeat five strong men. This is not a movie with special effects and editing.
The court sentenced Abai Borubaev to 14 years, Mirza Kymbatbaev to 10 years, and the remaining participants in the crime to various terms of imprisonment. Abai Borubaev was later killed under unclear circumstances while serving a prison sentence. One of his accomplices went crazy during the investigation.
Nigmatulin’s son from his second marriage to Khalida Khasanova teaches stage movement, horse riding and fencing at VGIK. The daughter Linda from the actor’s last marriage with Venus Ibragimova is currently acting in films and singing. And Venus remained to live in Kazakhstan.

What followed was a stream of stories about a “family” in which she and her girlfriends and friends lived under the rule of one Charles Miller Manson. Oddly enough, this crazy theory found its followers, and soon a whole “family” formed next to Manson, which began to wander along the west coast of the United States.
Manson continues to learn to play and sing, he even gains fans, and he decides to go to Hollywood to try his luck. There he quickly makes many new acquaintances, mainly because he supplied them with drugs. Manson's first Hollywood victim was musician Hinman, from whom Manson asked for money, but he did not give it. Manson and his so-called disciples tortured the musician for three days, and then stabbed him to death, and wrote “Pig” on the wall of the house. A few days after Hinman's murder, police arrested Robert Beausoleil, Manson's closest associate, after catching him in the victim's car.
Upon learning of Beausoleil's arrest, Manson began to cover his tracks. He decided that the best proof of Beausoleil's innocence would be to continue the series of brutal murders in the same manner. The killers chose Sharon Tate's villa by chance. At least that's what it said in the investigation materials.
The trial of Manson and his accomplices began in June 1970 and lasted nine and a half months. Charles Manson, Suzanne Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten were sentenced to death. A few months later, another killer of the actress and her friends, Charles Watson, was brought from Texas, where he fled, and convicted. And he was quite good at using all these weapons.
Kamorny got a job on the staff of the Film Actor Studio Theater at Lenfilm and soon received a new living space: he was given a 12-meter room in a communal apartment in a house on Saltykov-Shchedrin Street. The beer bar “Priboy”, famous in those years, was located nearby, and Yuri became a regular there. In the early 80s, he starred in two leading roles at once: in feature film"The Truth of Lieutenant Klimov" and the television film "Game without Trumps". He, in turn, took with him several policemen from the Dzerzhinsky District Department of Internal Affairs. When they arrived at the scene, Kamorny continued to go on a rampage and, waving daggers, did not let anyone near him. Today it is no longer possible to determine exactly what kind of real danger he posed then, and whether it was possible to neutralize him without the use of firearms, but the police decided not to risk it and used weapons. Moreover, first, as expected, they fired two warning shots upward. One of the bullets ricocheted and hit the girl in the arm. She screamed heart-rendingly, and this probably infuriated the police. They fired the third shot at the actor. They aimed at the legs and hit the femoral artery. Blood gushed out like a fountain from the wound. “Literally a few seconds later, Kamorny died.”
As the examination later established, the deceased did not have a single gram of alcohol in his blood. They did not find any changes in his brain. Then what happened to the actor that day? One can only guess about this now.
Mikhail Weller in the book “Legends of Nevsky Prospect” writes that the actor was very drunk, and the neighbors invited a passing policeman, who, seeing Kamorny holding a knife to the woman’s throat, fired a shot that wounded her in the thigh. The second shot hit the actor in the forehead. After that, after thinking a little, the policeman fired a third shot at the ceiling.
Kamorny's death went virtually unnoticed. The authorities prohibited the publication of obituaries, given the strange circumstances of the artist’s death. However, the only possible genre for him was the one firmly associated with his father’s name - the action genre. Brandon made his debut in 1986 in the television film Kung Fu: The Movie. That same year, he starred in his first big screen film, Legacy of Fury. Then there were the films “Open the Cards in Little Tokyo” (1991), “Rapid Fire” (1992), which brought Brandon Lee real fame.
The fatal shot for Brandon took place in the spring of 1993 on the set of the film “The Raven.” Then they wrote that something strange was going on there: one of the actors received severe burns, another seriously injured his hand, a journalist writing about the film got into a car accident, and the designer went crazy.
Filming was difficult. Brandon, of course, acted without stunt doubles. On that fateful day, he talked a lot about his upcoming wedding with film editor Eliza Hutton, whom he met back in 1990, and called her one of the most lovely girls in Hollywood. Their wedding was supposed to take place in Mexico City on April 17, 1993, immediately after filming of The Crow ended.

And although the judge’s verdict categorically stated: a pure accident, few believed in it. How could a live cartridge even end up on the set? And what was this plug? Why did a fellow actor shoot Brandon point-blank when he should have been aiming to the side? During installation they would have done it the right way anyway.
These questions remain unanswered. No one from the film crew was held accountable. Filming of "The Crow" continued. But the scenes of the actor’s death were destroyed.
