Used for making elegant women's clothing, tops of quilts, etc. The atlas has been known since the Middle Ages. In the 17th century it was usually made without a pattern, in calm undertones (light linden, pale pink, greenish-gray).

ATTIFE (French) - a woman's headdress, which is a small heart-shaped cap on a frame, most often made of black velvet, decorated with a feather and jewelry. In the 16th century became fashionable in France, and in the 1640s it entered England.

ATUR (French) - in the 15th century. in Italy, a woman's headdress consisting of a high cylindrical cap, on top of which a piece of colored fabric is thrown. In front it is attached to the cap in the form Latin letter U, descends in loose folds at the back.

AFFISH, AFISH (French) - a special large brooch, usually round in shape, which was used to fasten a long vertical slit on a surcoat.

AKHALOKHI, AKHALUKHI – upper men's clothing in Georgia, detail national costume swing, paper or silk, usually dark colors, was girded with a narrow belt with silver embossing. A chokha was worn over it.
