7 SpongeBob characters - 7 deadly sins

One of the most popular American cartoons is SpongeBob SquarePants. I honestly tried to watch several episodes, but I didn’t find anything there other than impenetrable stupidity. I categorically did not like the cartoon. However, the project has existed since 1999. I recently came across some very interesting material about how the main characters of the cartoon “SpongeBob” personify mortal sins. No more and no less! And now about this in more detail.

The first episode of the cartoon aired on July 17, 1999. The action takes place at the bottom Pacific Ocean, where there is a tiny town called Bikini Bottom. This is where the characters live. By the way, in 2004, the full-length cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie” was also released. The series came to Russia in 2003. The broadcast was carried out on the TNT channel

So, about mortal sins.

Mr. Krabs represents greed. In the story, he is the greedy boss of the main character SpongeBob. Krabs saves all the time, thinks only about money and profit.

Plankton is a symbol of envy. The character is small in size, but his ego is inflated beyond measure. He constantly makes insidious plans on how to get what fate has unfairly deprived him of. In particular, the recipe for Krabby Patties.

Patrick represents laziness. He's so lazy about everything that he lives under a rock. This cartoon character does not work, but only plays and sleeps.

Sandy is a symbol of pride. This funny underwater squirrel is very proud that it is native to Texas, but can live underwater. Sandy spends almost all her time trying to become even more perfect.

Squidward symbolizes anger. Here comments, as they say, are unnecessary. There wasn't an episode where this character wasn't angry at SpongeBob and his friend Patrick.

Gary is the personification of gluttony. The little animal that lives with SpongeBob mostly sleeps and meows. However, he meows from a constant and indomitable feeling of hunger.

And finally main character!

SpongeBob is a symbol of lust. It is precisely this analogy that you will not find at first glance. We associate the word “lust” with lust and sex. However, lust is also a passionate thirst for something in general. SpongeBob in the animated series is simply obsessed with a thirst for new experiences and life in all its manifestations.

"SpongeBob SquarePants" or simply "SpongeBob" is one of the most popular cartoons Nickelodeon TV channel. Yes, my dear, but not quite a young friend. In fact, Nickelodeon is an entire American animated television channel, which in the early and mid-2000s was shown as a series of cartoons on the TNT channel. That is, in fact, it was a truncated, cropped segment of an entire television channel. It was through him that we learned about such cartoons: “As Ginger Says,” “CatDog,” “The Wild Thornberry Family,” “Rugrats!”, “Jimmy Neutron – Boy Genius,” etc.

"SpongeBob" on Nickelodeon

It is worth noting that the original Nickelodeon, as well as other similar channels, broadcast many very mediocre “masterpieces” of animation. I won’t say anything at all about the current state of things. Based on this, we can conclude that the Russian young and green viewer was shown the cream of the crop, carefully collected by caring producers.

SpongeBob is one of the longest-running projects that continues to eat away at the fragile psyche of the younger generation. To date, 234 episodes have been released, and 267 are planned. Thus, we see that the imagination of the authors of this opus is practically inexhaustible and continues to generate new trash.

At one time, and this was 2003-2005. a cartoon about a yellow sponge, more like a dishwashing sponge than an inhabitant of the seabed, enslaved my consciousness. Of the entire series of Nickelodeon cartoons, on the then tube TNT, I was looking forward to this one with more impatience than the others. It must be said that he was very successful on air: he was always shown last. And if you didn’t have time to watch the first and second cartoons while you were galloping home from school, popping into the store for some goodies along the way, then you always had time to watch SpongeBob. Personally, I started to get crazy about the yellow sponge even before it became mainstream, that is, before those pedagogical-Emar times of 2007, but more on that a little later.

Characters of the cartoon "SpongeBob"

Today we will talk about the main characters of this opus, and perhaps you will learn something new for yourself.

Are you ready, children?

Yes captain!

I can not hear!

That's right, captain!

Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

Who lives at the bottom of the ocean???

SpongeBob Squapens!!!

SpongeBob

Let's start with Sponge. Few people know, but full name This guy is Robert Harold SquarePants, and he was born on July 14, 1986 (according to his passport). As an adult, already formed person, the question immediately arises in me: “Is it really possible that a little boy, let’s call him a boy, works for an adult uncle in a cafe like a galley slave? This is the use of child labor. Merciless! However, my question will still remain unanswered. It's a cartoon.

SpongeBob character from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

The image of the sponge itself is still positioned as the image of a sea sponge, despite its appearance, which, by the way, is very pleasing. I was always amused by his teeth - two incisors, always sticking out; awkward Long hands; a bunch of holes all over the body; square pants that don't lose their shape even when the character takes them off; and most importantly - the possibility of transformation into any state and image.

Those square pants

In his behavior, Sponge really looks like a teenage child: he constantly has fun with his best friend Patrick, comes up with crazy ideas, and generally behaves fearlessly in relation to many things.

Despite his age, for some reason he works at the Krusty Krabs for the miser Mr. Krabs, which, however, does not prevent the former from being happy: he works as a farmhand for himself, for pleasure and financial condition he's the last thing he's interested in. He became 364 times best employee month, which seems to hint.

And although, if you think about it in all seriousness, this cartoon cannot be fully called children's, the character of SpongeBob is very optimistic, naive, kind, hardworking and has a lot of positive qualities, which creates a favorable image.

In the wake of Emar and Pedov hysteria, which occurred in the mid-2000s (yes, that same 2007 that cannot be returned!) the cartoon received new life, in particular, Sponge’s popularity skyrocketed.

Crowds of teenagers aged 12 to 19 staged raids on kiosks/stalls, stationery stores and anything else that had any paraphernalia with cartoon characters. Below is just the tip of the iceberg.

What else is SpongeBob remembered by the 2000s generation? I associate one with him wonderful game. Who remembers her besides me? Now let's do a little test.

Screenshot of the famous flash game “Find 3 differences”

If, at the sight of this screenshot, your hair stood on end, something shrank or wrinkled, then you understand what I mean. This is the same canonical “find 3 differences” game, after which your life will not be the same :)

After you have “found 3 differences”, SpongeBob appears on the screen, as if mocking you.

Gary the Snail

Gary the snail is SpongeBob's pet; his habits are very reminiscent of a cat, although in a number of episodes he destroys existing stereotypes: he squeals, roars and even barks. However, he only barks when he is angry, which is rare.

Patrick Star

Patrick Star is, in my opinion, the second most important cartoon character. He is a starfish with an absolute absence of a brain, which is manifested through the actions he performs, the generation of ideas, etc. Patrick and SpongeBob - best friends who live next door and love to catch jellyfish and blow bubbles. Patrick doesn’t work, he sits at home all day and watches TV, which personifies the dim-witted, dumb inhabitant of the world. Irony? Maybe.

Character Patrick Star from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

Speaking about this character, it can be noted that he often likes to expose his body parts, in particular his butt, which has become a kind of cartoon meme.

Briefly about Patrick and his passions

Squidward

Squidward is a humanoid octopus who is in some ways an antagonist to SpongeBob. He works at the Krusty Krabs with a sponge, but he hates his job. Moreover, he embodies the most worst qualities– cynicism, pretentiousness, willfulness, narcissism, vanity, selfishness, etc.

Squidward character from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

In addition to their shared place of work, Squidward and SpongeBob are neighbors, which causes the former to constantly suffer. I mentioned earlier that SpongeBob is a cheerful, naive, active child, whose energy extends to all living and nonliving things within a radius of several kilometers. The first to suffer from this is Squidward, who loves peace, tranquility and gets irritated for any reason. Speaking modern language, the octopus is furiously butt-hurt every episode by SpongeBob, who has extremely good intentions.

Squidward character, in addition to the classic one animated film, gained additional popularity due to mysterious story, associated with the so-called "death file". To put it very briefly: there is a legend according to which at the studio producing the cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants”, in the mid-2000s - around 2005 - a cartoon series was discovered that was significantly different from all the others. It was called "Squidward's Suicide", and was stuffed with various creepy moments. Of course, this is just a legend, although you can find a bunch of “original” versions of this series on the Internet.

Variations on the theme "Roskomnadzor Squidward"

Sandy Cheeks

The female character in the cartoon is represented by the smart astronaut squirrel Sandy Cheeks, who is also the girlfriend of SpongeBob and Patrick Star. Given the growing popularity of the feminist movement and the desire to shoehorn positive female characters into any television project, we can say that the creators of the cartoon foresaw the future :)

Sandy is a talented scientist and inventor. Sandy is also interested in extreme sports, weightlifting, martial arts and is a rodeo champion.

Since Sandy the squirrel is a representative of animals that live on land, her home is a huge tree under a dome with a climate corresponding to the surface on earth.

Mr. Krabs

Mr. Krabs, whose full name is Eugene Harold Krabs, is Squidward and SpongeBob's employer, owns the Krusty Krab. According to one episode, he was born on November 30, 1942, which hints at his elderly age, which does not prevent him, however, from trying to extract maximum profit even from a grain of sand or stone. In the very literally words is a miser and a miser, caring only about his personal well-being. Viewers have several versions about this. According to the first, the desire to accumulate money is the cause of hopeless poverty in childhood; and according to the second, his “nationality” is you-know-who.

The character Mr. Krabs from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

Mr. Krabs is short, red, and plump, and has very tall eyestalks, a frilled nose, large claws, and very short, pointy legs. He wears a blue shirt. Krabs is often compared to a sailor or pirate. Despite his money-grubbing ways, it is sometimes apparent that Mr. Krabs is not entirely heartless. He sometimes apologizes for his actions. He loves SpongeBob and his daughter and takes care of her. He respects SpongeBob and Squidward as they help keep his restaurant afloat.

Plankton

Another antagonist, but this time Mr. Krabs, is Plankton. Plankton is a failed businessman (owns the Trash Can restaurant), lives with his computer wife and has a fixation on capturing secret recipe KrustyKrabsburger. Previously, she and Eugene were inseparable, but it was the secret recipe that ended their friendship.

Character Plankton from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

Despite his business failures, he still hopes to obtain the secret recipe and, as a result, develop his restaurant. All his inventions serve one purpose - to annoy Mr. Krabs.

These are the main characters of the cartoon "SpongeBob SquarePants". Of course, there are a number minor characters: hedgehog fish - teacher of driving lessons to SpongeBob, Pearl - adopted daughter of Mr. Krabs, Karen - computer wife of Plankton, etc.

Finally, I’ll share with you a fun fact I found on the Internet.

There is an opinion that a number of cartoon characters personify the 7 deadly sins: Mr. Krabs - Greed, Plankton - Envy, Patrick - Laziness, Dejection, Sandy the Squirrel - Pride, Squidward - Anger, SpongeBob - Lust, Gary the Snail - Gluttony.

And the truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle...

The animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" collected $140 million at the worldwide box office and was among the top five best animated adaptations. How did an anthropomorphic sponge that lives in a pineapple manage to win the sympathy of not only children, but also adults? The following 14 facts will help you find out the answer to this question.

1. The idea to create SpongeBob SquarePants came to the mind of Stephen Hillenburg, who used to work as a marine biologist.

Stephen Hillenburg studied in a specialty related to the organization of rational use of marine natural resources. After graduating from the institute, he taught ocean biology for several years at one of the highest educational institutions State of California. Among other things, Hillenburg was also fond of drawing. He even created his own comic book called "Tidal Zone", the main character of which was a prototype of SpongeBob.

In 1997, Hillenburg began working on the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants", which subsequently became very interesting to representatives of the children's television channel "Nickelodeon".

2. In the original, the character of the animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg was going to be called Sponge Boy

Initially, Stephen Hillenburg wanted to call the main character of his animated series Sponge Boy, or SpongeBoy. However, this name was already used by a company that produced mops, as well as various cleaning and detergents. Be that as it may, Hillenburg decided to keep the word "sponge" in the name of the main character of his cartoon (which, by the way, was originally called "SpongeBoy Ahoy!") because he was afraid that children might mistake it for a piece of cheese.

3. SpongeBob owes his character to Jerry Lewis, Paul Reubens and Stan Laurel

According to director Derek Drymon, Hillenburg wanted the main character of his animated series to be funny, mischievous and joyful, like famous American comedians Jerry Lewis, Paul Reubens and Stan Laurel.

Tom Kenny, the man who voiced SpongeBob SquarePants, said that Hillenburg described his character as "half child, half adult" and compared him to Munchkin (from The Wizard of Oz) and the aforementioned comedians.

4. Patrick the Starfish was originally intended to be an angry, disgruntled bar owner.

Starfish character Pink colour first appeared in the animated series when Hillenburg and Drymon were storyboarding the pilot for SpongeBob SquarePants. This was not the sweet and dim-witted Patrick Star, but the angry and rude owner of a roadside bar, among other things, a “bully and a bully” who was constantly irritated about the color of his body. When Bill Fagerbakke voiced Patrick, he deliberately slowed down his speech and imagined that he had no neck and his mouth was at chest level.

5. Is Squidward a squid or an octopus?

No one knows exactly who Squidward Tentacles really is. In some episodes of "SpongeBob SquarePants", it is said that he is a squid, in others - an octopus. Stephen Hillenburg created the image of a pessimistic cephalopod with six tentacles only so as not to "overwhelm him visual perception".

6. The fish from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" that constantly screams "My leg!" has a name. Her name is Fred.

The name of the fish that constantly screams "My leg!" in the animated series was revealed in the episode "Patty Hype". It turns out her name is Fred.

7. Parody of the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants"

In 2003, the animation studio "Camp Chaos", especially for the show "Very American TV" (English "ILL-ustrated"), which was broadcast on VH1 and MTV2, created a parody of the creation of Stephen Hillenburg - an animated series called "Sponge Bong Hemp Trousers". Its main character lived in a fly agaric, was friends with Gashik and loved to smoke marijuana.

For obvious reasons, this cartoon never appeared on TV screens. But it can be found on YouTube, where it has collected more than 6.3 million views.

8. Stars such as Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Robin Williams took part in voicing the characters in the animated series “SpongeBob SquarePants” (contrary to the initial wishes of Stephen Hillenburg)

Initially, Stephen Hillenburg was against celebrities voicing characters in his animated series. Apparently, he was afraid that SpongeBob SquarePants would be compared to The Simpsons. Hillenburg made an exception only for Tim Conway and Ernest Borgnine, who first three seasons, they voiced their favorite characters SpongeBob, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.

After Hillenburg stepped down as executive producer of the animated series, the residents of Bikini Bottom began speaking in the voices of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Robin Williams, Amy Poehler, Johnny Depp, Victoria Beckham, LeBron James, Pink, Patton Oswalt and others famous personalities.

9. Stephen Hillenburg didn't want to Justin Timberlake sang a song about SpongeBob SquarePants

The soundtrack to the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" was released with many cover versions, in particular, one of them was sung by Canadian singer Avril lavigne.

The lyrics to the song "Just a Kid", which is performed in the cartoon by the American rock band "Wilco", were written by its vocalist Jeff Tuidy.

The soundtrack to the cartoon "SpongeBob and Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy", performed by The Flaming Lips, its frontman Wayne Coyne initially planned to sing in a duet with Justin Timberlake, but Stephen Hillenburg opposed this idea. He allegedly told Coyne that he didn't want to get involved with any kind of "commercial" weirdos. "I don't like people for whom the main objective- Receiving a profit. I like you guys, Wilco and Ween," Hillenburg said.

10. Mushrooms Named After SpongeBob SquarePants

In 2010, Dennis Desjardins, a researcher at San Francisco State University, discovered the new kind mushrooms, which he decided to name Spongiforma squarepantsii in honor of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Spongiforma squarepantsii mushrooms were found on the island of Borneo (aka Kalimantan) in a place that resembled the seabed, “covered with tubular sponges,” some of which smelled like fruit, others like mold.

11. The writers of the cartoon "SpongeBob SquarePants" were inspired by the works of Ray Bradbury

Screenwriter Merriweather Williams, in search of inspiration for writing episodes of the second season of "SpongeBob SquarePants", decided to turn to the works American writer Ray Bradbury. She gave her team several copies of his essay collection, Zen in the Art of Writing. Moreover, to generate ideas for the plot of the cartoon, Williams resorted to a method called the “Noun Game.” She asked everyone to write three to six nouns on separate leaves papers, after which she threw them into the hat and mixed them thoroughly. With the noun that Williams pulled out the next moment, everyone had to formulate in one minute short story.

12. Conservative public organizations called the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" propaganda of homosexuality

In 2005, conservative public organizations such as Focus on the Family", stated that "SpongeBob SquarePants" is a tool for promoting homosexuality. After this incident, the producers of the animated series began to say that the main character has no gender at all. In 2002, Stephen Hillenburg, during his interview with journalists of the Wall Street newspaper Journal" reported that he considers all of his characters to be "asexual."

The four-meter replica of David Hasselholff, weighing 340 kilograms, cost about $100 thousand from the total budget of “SpongeBob SquarePants.” The actor himself appeared only at the end of the animated series, in an episode that was written even before the Baywatch star agreed to star in it. A giant David Hasselholff mannequin was sold at auction earlier this year.

14. SpongeBob SquarePants is the longest running animated series ever shown on Nickelodeon.

The number of episodes of “SpongeBob SquarePants” filmed in the current (ninth) season will reach 200. New episodes of the animated series have not been released on TV screens since March, because this moment its producers are working to complete filming of the feature-length film "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", which is set for release in February 2015.

Sponge Bob Square Pants

The main character of the American animated series of the same name, which premiered on May 1, 1999 on the Nickelodeon channel. The character was created by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg and voiced by actor Thomas Kenny. In Russia also known as SpongeBob Square Pants. Judging by the information from his passport, he was born on July 14, 1986, which means that at the time the animated series began broadcasting, SpongeBob was about 13 years old.

Gary Wilson Jr.

IN student years was friends with Krabs. Now he lives in the "Wash Bin" with his computer wife Karen. He often ends up in prison, where he even became an authority. He dreams of becoming a giant and conquering the entire underwater world. The atomic tests in Bikini Atoll in the series are explained precisely by Plankton's antics. In the series "Plankton's Army" gathers an army of his own kind and storms the Krusty Krabs. And in the full-length film, he finally learns the formula for Krabby Patties! If he does defeat Mr. Krabs, he is always stopped by SpongeBob.

Karen Plankton

Plankton's computer wife. It has many human properties: it talks, cooks food, expresses different emotions, which is very different from an ordinary robot or computer. Many of the ideas for stealing the secret Krabby Patty recipe belong to her, although Plankton often appropriates them for himself, for which Karen is offended by her husband. Plankton doesn't appreciate his wife because she doesn't know how to cook at all.

Technical data

  • Karen's memory is 256 GB.
  • Karen has a program called P.E.V.T. (Mother-in-Law Emergency Intervention Program). When something happens to Karen, this program is automatically loaded in the form of Plankton's mother-in-law, who does not like her son-in-law.
  • Karen has a laser weapon built into her, which is shown for the first time in the series "Enemy In-Law".
  • Despite the fact that Karen is an ordinary desktop computer, she is capable of crying, laughing and expressing other feelings.
  • As it turns out in the second full-length film, the power of her processor is sufficient to travel through time.

Minor characters

Sea Superman and Barnacle Boy

Older superheroes who were popular in the past. Idols of SpongeBob and Patrick. They fight the villains of Bikini Bottom, often failing missions due to senility. According to their stories, they met by chance, and at first they did not like each other. They used to live in a nursing home, then moved back to their secret headquarters. Superman is slightly deaf, and Barnacle Boy has vision problems. He is also always unhappy that Superman treats him like a child.

Squilliam Fensison

Octopus . Squidward's cousin and nemesis. Outwardly, they look like two peas in a pod, but Squilliam has a completely different character: he is mocking and cunning, unlike Squidward. Squilliam has a large unibrow, symbolizing his noble birth. Very talented, billionaire, most probably earned his capital through dishonest labor. Being much more successful than his cousin, he is a constant object of Squidward's envy. Despite his talent, however, like Squidward himself, he has a lot of negative qualities such as narcissism, pride and narcissism. For him, his main goal in life is to brag about his success and fame, and to mock Squidward's failures and unpopularity. To restore justice, SpongeBob helps Squidward beat Squilliam and make him feel like a loser.

Sea Villain

A parody of Aquaman's main enemy Black Manta, the sworn enemy of Mermaid Superman and Barnacle Boy. Being one of the antagonists, he often opposes their protégé SpongeBob. In the series "Sea Superman and Barnacle Boy 3" I tried to become good and was on the path to correction, but my bad character took its toll.

Dirty Bubble

Supervillain underwater world, one of the enemies of Mermaid Superman and Barnacle Boy. Very nasty and angry bubble Brown having the habit of laughing with a malicious laugh. SpongeBob's "favorite" villain.

Bubble Bass

Sea bass suffering from poor eyesight and obesity. Being a restaurant critic, he has a bad temper. Boorish, cowardly, a little deceitful, never pays attention to others. Betsy Krabs

Grandfather Redbeard

A very, very old pirate (probably born in late XIX century), Mr. Krabs' grandfather, Victor's father. Taught his grandson piracy when he was just a baby. After many years, Eugene grew up and hired a crew and robbed the dead like his grandfather, but he did not get any treasure and he later fired the crew, sold his ship and many years later opened the Krusty Krab, but Redbeard still thinks that his grandson is a pirate . His quotes: "A pirate never lies" and "I have smelled many smells, but nothing stinks worse than lies!" In the series "Pirate Grandpa" he wrote a letter to Mr. Krabs saying that he would visit him. Mr. Krabs was scared, because if he came, his grandfather would understand that he was not a pirate and would be upset. He, SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward dressed up as pirates and turned the Krusty Krab into a pirate ship. He managed to convince his grandfather for a while that he was a pirate, but at the end of the series he was exposed. However, he was not embarrassed by the fact that his grandson was the owner of the diner, he even liked it and in the end he left, taking part of his grandson's savings.

Victor Krabs

he is the late father of Eugene Krabs and husband of Betsy Krabs. He is also the son of Krabs the Pirate and Pearl's paternal grandfather. Not much is known about him, except that he was married to Betsy Krabs and they had a child, Eugene Krabs, and that he gave Eugene a dollar. Eugene loved this dollar like his best friend.

In some episode it was mentioned that Victor died after 1980

SpongeBob SquarePants is the main character of the Nickelodeon series of the same name. The official date of birth of this hero is July 14, 1986. It was designed and drawn by animator Stephen Hillenburg and voiced by actor Tom Kenny. Charming, eccentric and very optimistic, SpongeBob lives in a pineapple house built in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom, and makes money by frying hamburgers at the Krusty Krabs cafe.

Appearance

Even though SpongeBob is sea sponge by origin, but in its own way appearance it most closely resembles an ordinary kitchen sponge dressed in brown square pants. This guy has blue childish eyes, a long, slightly downward-curving nose and a wide smiling mouth with two dimples on the sides. When SpongeBob goes to work, he wears white shirt with a red tie and a uniform hat. Low remain SpongeBob's brown pants, which are a peculiar business card hero. On particularly special occasions, the trousers automatically turn into a tailcoat outfit.

Personal qualities

SpongeBob SquarePants is an incredibly expressive, hyperactive, charming character. His face is not spoiled by the presence of intelligence, and his carelessness sometimes irritates those around him. SpongeBob is very touching towards those who are kind to him, and quickly forgives those who upset him. The little guy in brown pants never stops in the face of difficulties, he is brave and courageous in his own way, and always moves straight towards the goal. He helps out his friends and is capable of selfless acts.

SpongeBob is naive and trusting; when he is scared, he panics and is afraid of the dark and clowns. Sometimes he lacks erudition to notice the impending danger, which is what the owner Mr. Krabs, Squidward and Plankton take advantage of. SpongeBob is especially easily deceived by Plankton, a small evil creature who is Mr. Krabs' competitor. However, when SpongeBob discovers the deception, he becomes very irritated and can be rude to others.

Negative traits

Sometimes SpongeBob commits rash, unseemly acts. However, in most cases, these actions are committed either out of stupidity, or at the instigation of other, more cunning characters. In one episode, SpongeBob helped Mr. Krabs prepare a spoiled pie for the health inspector. Another time he offended his best friend- Sandy the squirrel. However, when Sandy stopped talking to him, SpongeBob immediately repented of his behavior. One day, the peace-loving hero in brown pants even grabbed his employer Mr. Krabs by the throat. Sometimes SpongeBob, together with his friend Patrick, decide to do such pranks that simply scare others: they burn money, kidnap people, act out a store robbery, and take someone else’s property. In a word, they do all the things that hyperactive, not very well-educated children can do.

Scapegoat

From time to time, SpongeBob gets into trouble through no fault of his own. Once at school, Patrick wrote a note to SpongeBob in which he called the teacher a big fat Mini. The teacher intercepted the note and punished SpongeBob, but then she found out that Patrick wrote the note. Another time, Mr. Krabs hired SpongeBob's cousin Stanley to work. The loser brother broke everything that came his way, and SpongeBob was blamed for everything.

Skills

Despite the fact that SpongeBob is by no means a superhero, he is capable of many things. Its soft body can not only absorb a lot of water and dirt, but also resist violence. Like a real sea creature, SpongeBob has the ability to regenerate: he grows back damaged body parts. The soft yellow guy simply cannot be beaten - his body absorbs all blows, and his enemies are left with nothing.

Work and friends

According to documents, SpongeBob is 26 years old. However animated hero does not grow up, he always remains cheerful and optimistic, like real child. The hero lives with his pet, a snail, in a small pineapple house in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob is the best and only cook at the Krusty Krabs cafe. SpongeBob loves his job, sometimes even too much. When it comes to special skill, SpongeBob demonstrates superhuman skills: he can make a thousand hamburgers in a minute and feed a crowd of hungry anchovy customers. Squidward works next to SpongeBob - a dull and gloomy character, always irritated by the optimism of his colleague.

SpongeBob's best friends - Starfish Patrick and Sandy the Squirrel. Patrick is naive to the point of idiocy; it is next to him that SpongeBob commits his most stupid acts. Belka, on the contrary, is reasonable, technically literate, and practical. However, most citizens of Bikini Bottom are quite friendly towards SpongeBob.

The bright, optimistic character has been popular for many years. Interestingly, children absolutely adore him, while many older people say that the guy in the yellow pants gets on their nerves. This is not surprising, since adults who have forgotten their childhood are irritated by cheerful, cheerful and spontaneous heroes, such as SpongeBob.
