The group is on the broadcast of the music ring. Musical ring on NTV

Absolutely everyone has heard about the program “Musical Ring,” even those who “walked under the table” during the years of its release. In fact, it was the most popular music program, which first aired on Leningrad television on November 1, 1986.

The idea of creating the program belonged to Vladimir and Tamara Maksimov. “Musical Ring” began appearing on television screens back in 1983, as one of the sections of the “Horizon” program.

The “Musical Ring” program consisted of two parts. In the first part, invited performers performed their compositions. In the second part, TV viewers and guests in the studio asked questions to the guest star. In response to the questions asked, it was necessary not only to make an interesting joke, but also to beautifully get out of the situation when the question was asked with a certain trick. Despite the fact that questions from viewers passed through the hands of editors and were carefully selected, the questions that were asked in the studio were not censored, and there were “guests of honor” among the viewers. By the way, this is why the program was called “Musical Ring”, and the studio where the filming took place was designed in the form of a ring. Two participants were always invited to the ring; these were either groups or single performers. The winner of the music program was determined by the number of votes that “came” to the studio via two phone numbers. The winner was determined by the largest number of phone calls to him.

The first host of the program was its creator Tamara Maksimova. Later, her daughter Anastasia joined her. The first guest of the program was Valery Leontyev.

In 1987, Tamara Maksimova received a reprimand from her management for wishing the people of the country a Merry Christmas on live television.

The program lasted until 1990. It was resumed in 1997. The program was released first on Channel Five, and then on RTR. The Musical Ring was closed in 2001.

Thanks to the “Music Ring,” the whole country learned about Boris Grebenshchikov, Andrei Makarevich, Zhanna Aguzarova, as well as the groups “Bravo,” “Aquarium,” “Secret,” “Alice,” “Time Machine,” and the bard Alexander Rosenbaum. Alla Pugacheva took part in one of the programs. The last programs that aired in 1999 included: Irina Otieva and Soso Pavliashvili, Irina Saltykova and Viktor Saltykov, Ilya Reznik, Joseph Kobzon, Nikolai Noskov and Alexander Marshal, “Na-Na”, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, Alexey Glyzin, Renat Ibragimov, “Lyceum”, Mikhail Krug and Sergei Trofimov, young opera soloists of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and the Mariinsky Opera and Ballet Theater.

In 1999, the KVN team “New Armenians” presented a parody of the “Musical Ring” program in the ¼ finals of the game in their music competition.

In 2000, in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Musical Ring program, a large gaga concert took place.

In 2010, the NTV channel aired a program of the same name “Musical Ring”, which had nothing in common with the Soviet program. This fact did not escape the owner of the Musical Ring brand, who subsequently accused the TV channel of plagiarism and copyright infringement.

Program "Musical Ring". The authors of the program are Vladimir and Tamara Maksimov.

“Musical Ring” was invented in 1983 as a section for the then popular TV show “Horizon” on Leningrad TV. But soon Ring became cramped within the rubric and the program became an independent and very successful music television show in the 80s. And so on November 10, 1986, “Musical Ring” goes out to the entire Union from the Leningrad television studio. guest of the program Valery Leontyev, presenter Tamara Maksimova with her famous synthesizer. But the audience was naturally not waiting for Leontyev, who was enough on Soviet television and the “Musical Ring” invited Soviet rock bands that were fashionable at that time - “Aquarium”, “Bravo”, “TV”, “Secret”, “Zvuki Mu”, “ Center", "Alice".

Program "A"

Program “A” is a Soviet and Russian musical program aired on the First Program of Central Television, on the RTR and TV Center channels; presenter Sergei Antipov. Specialized, first of all, in unusual and promising musical phenomena, alternative and non-commercial music, Russian rock. The editors defined the concept of their program as “Music for the Smart.” Program “A” first aired on February 5, 1989, during the era of Perestroika, and reached the peak of its popularity in the mid-1990s, airing on the RTR channel. At that time, the program featured numerous Russian artists and rock groups. According to journalists, Program “A” was the stronghold and bunker of the rock generation on Central Television, and the creators of the program gravitated towards hard and uncompromising rock. The editors of the program invited only those groups that were interesting to them to live concerts, and categorically refused to take money from musicians (and, accordingly, show commercial musicians for money).

What? Where? When?

Game "What? Where? When?" has always been one of the most beloved and long-awaited television programs on Soviet television. This intellectual TV game first appeared on air on September 4, 1975. This day is considered the birthday of the program. Its creators are Vladimir Voroshilov and Natalia Stetsenko. Vladimir Voroshilov was the presenter. But at first the game followed rules similar to the modern game "Lucky Chance". In 1976, the format of the game changed greatly, the game became a “television youth club”. And in the first issue of the updated game, the host was Alexander Maslyakov. The first players in the new format of the game were MSU students; a minute for reflection was not introduced: the player to whom the top “pointed” with an arrow answered without hesitation. This format of the game remained until the end of 1977. And on December 24, new innovations appeared: the top began to point to questions from viewers contained in letters; the famous “minute of discussion” appeared.

Brain Ring is a television version of the game invented by the Odessa intellectual games club “Erudite”. The first issue was published in 1989. The idea of implementing the “Brain Ring” on TV was born to Vladimir Voroshilov back in 1980, but he was able to achieve it only almost 10 years later. The first few episodes were hosted by Voroshilov himself, but later, due to his lack of free time, the role of presenter was transferred to Boris Kryuk, who could not appear on the set, and Andrei Kozlov became the presenter. Each episode of Brain Ring consisted of several fights. A battle is a separate battle held until one of the teams scores a certain number of points. In each battle, 2 teams of 6 people took part: one sat at a red table, the other at a green one.

In 1974, with the broadcast of the 9th Studio program, the system of the most prestigious Soviet journalism - international - was formed. The program is hosted by political commentator, Professor Valentin Zorin. He is considered the main anti-Americanist on television.

The Musical Ring program first appeared as an independent program on Soviet television in 1986. This was the idea of Vladimir and Tamara Maximov. They were destined to bring their brainchild to life. At first, “Ring” was present as a section of the “Horizon” program. But it soon became clear: he was able to become popular without such support.

The first guest of the “Musical Ring” was Valery Leontyev, already quite famous at that time. And that is why it was not so interesting to a potential audience. The highlight of the program was Tamara Maksimova and her synthesizer.

The format of the “Musical Ring” was, strictly speaking, non-format. At that time, neither Boris Grebenshchikov, nor Andrei Makarevich, nor Zhanna Aguzarova were well-known, but were not on television. The program helped correct this omission, and “Aquarium”, “Secret”, “Bravo”, “Alice” and many others made their debut on TV there. Today the very idea is that without the “Ring” such colossuses of rock music could disappear into the crowd, as happened with many musicians.

The program lived up to its name. The stage was set up like a boxing ring. On the sides there were spectators, guests, and most importantly, the press. Before filming, the editors of the program tried to make sure that the presence of the press paid for itself. And after the musical component, we moved on to interviews with musicians. By the standards of Soviet times, quite complex, frank and caustic. The singers were asked questions that it would be better not to answer, especially on the air of such a popular program as “Musical Ring” instantly became.

Before the rounds, telephone numbers were provided, by calling which viewers could vote for their favorite performance. There was most often more than one performer, so the audience chose the winner. In fact, half of the airtime was devoted to music. And in the second, journalists eagerly attacked the guests of the program. Sometimes the musicians shared funny incidents from their lives or stories during rehearsals. But neither the format of the program nor the time allowed any fried social scandal to unfold on air. What kind of scandalousness can we talk about if even when Tamara Maksimova wished the audience a Merry Christmas in 1989, it did not pass the attention of the authorities. The presenter was reprimanded, and it was decided to forget about the incident.

However, in 1990, the Musical Ring was closed. An attempt to resuscitate the transmission in 1997 showed that the patient was more likely dead than alive. Times have changed and the Ring format no longer fits the needs of the people. In 1997, no one would be surprised by caustic questions on air and attempts to avoid answering, as was the case under the Soviet Union. However, despite the change in the interests of viewers, “Music Ring” lasted on the airwaves for another three years and was finally closed in 2000.

True, 10 years later the NTV television company tried to release the program “NTV Musical Ring”. But the owners of the Musical Ring brand saw this as a violation of copyright, hastening to clarify that their program had nothing to do with NTV.
