How to draw anime in different poses. Anime characters body general principles

Already drew +23 I want to draw +23 Thank you + 61

The simplest body has a skeletal structure. The idea is to try to add volume to a drawn flat image.

Let's try to place the character in a cube, the base of which will be the area under the soles of the feet.

One of the most complex tasks When drawing the body is drawing in perspective. Using a cube around your character can help you do this.

Human skeleton and its structure

Let's take a look at the human skeleton and try to draw it.

Drawing the lower part of the skeleton will allow you to show more natural body movement by conveying body rotation and weight distribution.

Drawing with blocks

Imagine that the joints and stomach are spheres. When drawing occurs through the use of shapes and spheres, the future outlines of the muscles are immediately determined. In addition, this way you can feel the three-dimensional structure of the body.

Look carefully at how the collarbone is attached.

Pay attention to the angle of the shoulders and their projection, visible from the selected view.

If you can't imagine the projection of the shoulders on the other side, just use a 3D surface to indicate the shape.

Female body in blocks

The blocks are just guide lines used for your convenience. So don't get hung up on drawing them.

Pay attention to drawing the sides. Men's hamstrings are usually drawn longer, while women's hamstrings are shorter and flow more quickly into the thighs.

Do you want to draw well? You should always be aware of the invisible parts of the body you are drawing.

Drawing movement

When it is necessary to draw a human body in motion, the central line of the spine and the curve of movement are taken as a basis. The center line separates the right and left side body, thereby creating a balancing state. It goes both in front and behind.

Pay special attention to the movement in the waist area.
Draw the center line on visible side bodies.

Picture the center line as running along the direction the character is moving. It may well be that the center line on the visible side of the body will coincide with the curve of movement.

Using a motion curve will help you draw correct position body and will make it easier to work with the character’s movements.

Drawing from the corner

A very large number of poses can be drawn using the shape method, however the best option there will be a combination of viewing angle and skeletal method.

It will be easier to draw if you base the pose on the position of the spine.

Standard form man's body

Below are the most important things to remember when drawing. male body.
- Watch the position of the elbow when the hand is at its highest point.
- Consider the radius of movement of the elbow and shoulder.
- Correct placement of the clavicle and sternum muscles.
- The trapezius (muscle) contracts and tenses when moving.
- The area of the sternum coincides with the area of narrowing of the arms.
- The crotch has a small gap between the thighs when the legs are together, and when the legs are apart the gap increases, but never draw the crotch as shown in the picture above (bottom, small).

When you cannot decide on the length of your arms in their horizontal position, use a guide line. This will make it easier to show the length of the arm parts. Another way to represent the length of the deltoid is by adding a little length of the biceps and the hinge (elbow).

Now let's look from the back

The muscles on the side in which the tilt is performed are compressed.
- On the other side, the muscles, on the contrary, stretch.
- If you look at the shoulder blades from a slightly different position, they look very much like a face. Try to use this interesting feature.
- Deformation of a body always occurs when it moves (tilts, turns).
- The shoulder blades rise when the arm goes up.

Now let's take a side view
Remember that the standard brush size is the character's face. The brush should cover it almost completely in height.

The length of the forearm is equal to the length of 1 and a half heads. The length of the rest is 2 heads.

The length of the foot is equal to one head and this length also includes the length of the toes.

The shoulders can move back and forth, but only slightly.

When the body is tilted, the shoulders drop and move forward.
On the other hand, when the body is tilted backward, the shoulders also move backward.

Difference between male and female body

Women have narrower shoulders and chests, but women's pelvis is larger than men's.
- The female pelvic bone reaches the navel and the waist line also crosses the navel. Highest point The pelvic bone crosses the line of the navel.
- The male body is based on the shape of an inverted triangle, while female forms more rounded and resemble a bowling pin.

Proportions
Body proportion is determined by the number of heads that will fit into his height, so first you have to ask yourself how many heads your character will be.

Japanese comics (manga) and cartoons (anime) are a huge layer of culture with its own traditions and rules. Anime characters are easily recognizable, and millions of fans of this genre visual arts scattered all over the world.

We will tell you how to draw manga and anime correctly and beautifully in a series of our lessons. In the first lesson we will start with the very basics of drawing.

Movement is life

Anime and manga are impossible without dynamics. Each episode is characterized by a certain event and a certain movement. When planning to draw your anime character, first of all think about what pose he should take in the drawing. Do not try to draw “from memory” or as you “see fit”. Manga is not only (and not always) big eyes, this is, first of all, a clear correspondence to the “real world”. You will definitely need examples. Take similar images from other works, or use a large mirror in which to pose for yourself. Try it different angles, before starting the final sketch.

Basics of drawing. Creating a hero figure

As you may know from the lesson "", the height of a person is on average seven and a half of his "heads". Because anime heroes are still some kind of heroes, then their height, as a rule, is 8 or more “heads”. This way our heroes become more expressive. The remaining body proportions are identical to those of a human.

At the first stage of drawing, we create only a mannequin of our future character, which looks more like jointed doll, than on the next master of the elements.

From frame to overall structure

So, let's try to give more specific features to our character. For convenience, let's take the simplest pose. Mark the muscles and place small ovals at the joints. Please note that the wrists and the very bottom of the legs remain sticks. The torso is also not connected to the legs.

Finishing the contours

Now let’s finally form the contours of the body. Carefully draw slightly curved lines that completely form the image of our hero. Smooth lines are extremely important. Any angles will create the effect of mechanicalness and unnaturalness.

Elastic band is our everything

Carefully wipe off all auxiliary lines. As you can see, we have a man. If you want to portray a woman, then in addition to pronounced breasts, you should also give her wider hips and a thinner waist, giving her the shape “ hourglass" According to manga canon, women have narrower shoulders and slimmer necks. Often a woman’s legs are drawn in such a way as to further emphasize the hourglass shape.

So, wipe off all unnecessary parts. Feel free to clean up any rough edges. Our body is ready for detailing.

Posing

The “stick-stick-cucumber” approach that we used in general and in this lesson in particular - very convenient way for beginners to explore various poses and correctly draw your characters in the required position. Once you get comfortable with this hinge method, you can later draw characters without skipping this step. Practice drawing different positions of the characters by drawing, for example, figures like in the picture above.

IN next lessons we will continue with a step-by-step examination of the basics of drawing anime and manga.

When you have your own character, and everything is ready, you need to start drawing him somehow. The first thing that comes to mind is the character's pose. Perhaps this is the most important part of the drawing, because... The originality of your drawing, how it will look, and how others will perceive it depend on the tension and dynamics of the pose. If the character’s pose is beautiful and expressive, then the audience will most likely like the drawing.
So, I'm going to tell you how I come up with poses for characters, and try to teach you how to do it quickly and beautifully.
I found a lesson from another artist on the Internet. It reflects how I do it, only without the first point.

1) To begin with I decide whom paint.

2) I remember character character, what to him characteristic, I pay attention to him floor.

3) Based on the above, I begin come up with a pose.

4) I take a “model” of this character in my head and start “watching the cartoon.” That is, I try to imagine different poses, imagine the character jumping, tumbling, surprised, scared (in connection with what I had in mind) and “stop the cartoon” in time. Or if I already have some idea, for example “a funny character”, then I start viewing the animation only with those movements that relate to joy.

To make it clearer to you: below is a picture of a girl jumping in it. If the cartoon (animation) had been running in full, we would certainly have seen that the girl jumped from the run, or maybe even from a standing start, and then she would naturally land. Most likely, with such a jump, the landing will not be strong, after which I imagine that she will turn her back to the viewer, then face again, and will jump in the same way and scatter stars.

This is a small animation. And where to stop the frame is your decision.

This “viewing” can continue for a very long time. I sometimes sit for more than half an hour, scrolling through new poses in my head.

Advice: Nobody takes anything from nowhere. To prevent your head from becoming empty, look at other people’s pictures more often, paying attention to the characters’ poses. Over time, you will have many pictures in your head that you can easily combine.

5) After you have made your choice, you need to hold this pose in your head, and immediately, in the most in a simple way, sketch it on a piece of paper. It happens that you come up with a cool pose, and then you get distracted for two minutes, look - and can’t remember.

I usually sketch out the pose using “circle sticks”, like in the first two pictures.

Tip: If your character has a long ponytail or flowing hair, you can also mark it with a line so you don't forget what it was supposed to be like.

6) After you have captured the moment, you can relax - I am sure the pose will not be forgotten. Afterwards, you can continue drawing.

Remember! The pose should show the mood and character of the character!

For example, a serious character is unlikely to jump and smile cheerfully like the girl above. Most likely he will stand, walk calmly, or look to the side.
By choosing the right poses and emotions for different characters, you make them unique and the picture more interesting.
Here is an example of a fun and serious character in the same situation:

In this lesson we will look at the basic principles of drawing anime guys. Also, I suggest you watch: how to draw anime girls in a swimsuit.

STEP 1. Understanding muscle structure gives a huge advantage in creating human body. Therefore, below are male body medical diagrams that will help give good start.

However, always consider what kind of character your character will be, and remember that a pumped up body is found mainly in athletes, and in ordinary people muscles are less pronounced.

STEP 2. Below are the 3 body types of guys: skinny, average and toned. Most artists, as a rule, settle on a skinny and average physique, since if not correctly, overdoing it with muscles will look unnatural. However, don't be afraid and try to experiment more!

Tip: Pay attention to how different muscles look in photographs, in films and in life. Also, do not forget to look at the muscle location diagram.

STEP 3. Facial lines are an important part of conveying the character's character.

In Figure A, showing masculine features such as massive jaws and a wide chin that extends slightly beyond the overall area of the face. This is typical for men with high testosterone levels.
Figure B shows an effeminate type of man, with a smooth facial line. His cheeks are slightly smaller than the previous type, and his chin is round.
Figure C- boyish type. His chin is pointed, the angles of his jaw are raised upward more than other types, and his face is generally wider.

Note: Also, pay attention to the nose.
Tip: Combine, and in the end you can achieve interesting results.

STEP 4. Eyes are very important. They say a lot about the character's personality.
Here are some examples:
a) Sufficiently wide and open shape. It does not seem natural, so it is usually used to convey a cowardly character or fear.
b) This shape is neither wide nor narrow. Used for neutral characters.
c) Effeminate option. Conveys a gentle character.
d) For very observant or sadistic individuals.
e) Broad is most often used to convey a kind, trusting character. Also looks good with minimally drawn eyelashes.
f) Angled eyes are usually used for those who are cunning and cunning.

STEP 5. Now let's start looking at it in practice.
There is nothing special about drawing a rough skeletal base. Therefore, we will consider the figure in motion. The blue line shows the direction of its movement.
This pose is convenient because we get the angle of movement and the center of gravity before the figure moves further.

STEP 6. Now let's sketch out the basic shapes for the body. Circumference in place of his stomach. We imitate the upper half with ribs and add 2 squares for the pectoral muscles. For the pelvis, a regular triangle will be enough.

STEP 7. Add volume to the arms and legs. Cylinders work great for your hands. The legs are a little more difficult, it is better to find a photo of the legs in a similar position and draw the shape. For the hands, use rectangles and circles.

Tip: Pay attention to how left hand less due to perspective than the right one, which is closer to the viewer.

Step 8. Add volume to the head. Circles mark the position of the eyes. Draw the nose in the form of a triangle and add a mouth.

Step 9: This step may be optional. I like to give the torso a clear outline, even if the clothes overlap.
Notice how Right side is stretched, and the left one is due to his posture. And also that the abdominal muscles are not visible due to the bend.

STEP 10. Add details. Hands, feet and face are great places to start detailing. To draw shoes, look at the photos different styles shoes and try to copy or combine the design.

Tip: Notice how the left shoe is less detailed. This is because the further an object is from the viewer, the less detail it should have. This rule is usually applied to large distances such as scenery, but it can add real dynamism to the painting. Use this technique sparingly.

STEP 11. Add hair, and any element near the neck, in my case it is a scarf. Due to the movement of the body, the scarf rises up.

STEP 12. Draw the clothes at the top. Personally, I don’t add folds right away, but only draw the outline. Look in magazines to find the right style for your character. You can also read the lesson on how to draw clothes.

STEP 13. Add pants. The pants I have chosen are quite tight to the legs, so I draw their lines close to the contour of the leg. With this type of material, it is necessary to draw the correct structure of the legs.
Add a few basic folds. Since they are tucked into the boots, we draw the bottom a little compressed into an accordion.

Tip: Add seams to your clothes. This will help give clarity and naturalness. There are only a few garments that do not have seams.

STEP 14. Almost done! character. In my case it's feathers. If you are drawing in digital graphics, add details on a new layer. And if on paper, you will have to erase some of the overlays.
I also added belts for fashion purposes. If you haven't done this before, add folds.

Tip: On the left side in the belly area there will be more folds as the torso is tilted. The material moves with the body, so the right side is smoothed out.

STEP 15. Add flying feathers in the direction the scarf is moving. This gives the picture more movement. We also remove all line coincidences, such as hair under the feathers. And now the work is finished! Well done! Keep practicing!

Below is the final result in color.

I love anime and that's why I often draw in free time various heroes, animals and Pokemon in anime style. Today I’ll try to tell you exactly how to draw male body in this style. In addition to the basic facial features of anime characters, their figures and poses have character traits. After going through our tutorial, you should have an idea of the main points of drawing the male human body and the style of anime and manga. All three drawings that we will get can be viewed below. Everything is in order, take your time and don’t be upset if you have to start over. Although I am sure you will succeed easily the first time.

Step 1.

Okay, this step will be the first of a three part anime male body drawing and poses tutorial drawn for all anime lovers. After completing this tutorial, you will be able to draw any male anime character with or without clothes, whether this character is from anime/manga or from your own imagination. Good luck with your drawing and most importantly, take your time.

Step 2.

Well let's start by drawing lines that look like a mannequin structure. Let's start with a circle for the head, add lines for the arms, neck and chest frame in the form of a shield. Let's add auxiliary lines on the face. Let's draw the lower limbs and connect them to the torso.

Step 3.

Now that you can see that you have drawn the main lines in the help and for proportions, let's start working on real contours figures of our anime hero. Draw the head with a thin line, add the lines of the torso and legs, and draw the arms. Then, let's start drawing. First, draw the character's hair in a long spike style. As soon as it looks like in the picture, finish off the line of the neck, and then draw the lowered hand with fingers and the lines of the chest and collarbones. Draw the correct shape of the legs. Then proceed to the next step.

Step 4.

Well, you did it and now the fourth stage of the tutorial. Let's complete the hairstyle for our character on the right and add details on top in the form of hair lines. Draw large eyes, as well as a mouth and nose as in the picture. We won’t delve into the intricacies of drawing the eyes of anime characters in this lesson. I will spend more time on this in the next ones. Let's add a few human body features to the hero - draw the ribs and abdominal muscles. Let's add the lines of the collarbones. That's it, all that remains is to delete unnecessary auxiliary lines and move on to the next step.

Step 5.

This is approximately what you should get after you go through all the stages of the drawing. Feel free to color or add clothing, but we'll move on to another pose to see the proportions and lines of men's figures in anime.

Step 6.

Now that you have completed the first lesson on drawing the male body, let's draw the body from the front. As you can see, our model is very beautiful, and in perfect shape.

Step 7

As always, let's start with the auxiliary lines of a mannequin-like figure. start with a circle for the head with auxiliary lines face, add a neck. We draw the torso according to the shapes, as in the figure, observing proportions and distances. Add lines and joints of the upper and lower limbs.

Step 8

Now that the figure is packed, let's draw a few more lines for the arms and legs. if you repeated all the lines of the previous step, then this will not be the slightest difficulty for you. Draw the bottom part of the head.

Step 9

Now we are one step closer to the final result of the second part of the drawing lesson male anime character. We add torn and angular hair lines and bangs to him, draw a mouth and collarbones. Let's complete the shapes of the arms and legs. You can draw fingers on your hand and a waist line on your body.

Step 10

Finishing step drawing. We need to finish drawing the stylish hair anime hero, draw eyes and nose. On the body we will show the muscles of the chest and abdomen. Let's draw the fingers in detail and add the groin area. Remove all extra lines.

Step 11

This is roughly how it should work out for you. Try coloring or learn something new about drawing anime with the following steps.

Step 12

Everything is working out great for us and all that remains is to try to draw a figure standing sideways to us. Our drawn anime character has practically no secrets left from us, so let's start our third part of the drawing lesson.

Step 13

Let's draw all the necessary frame lines to maintain proportions. Draw a circle for the head, add a line for the eyes, and add a neck. To the resulting figure you need to add the line of the face and chin. Then we draw an oval torso, the shape of the pelvis and the lines of the limbs. Mark the shapes of the arm and knee and move on to the next stage of not simple, but interesting lesson drawing.
