In 1991, on the First Channel of the then Soviet television, a new musical program "Morning Star" was aired, which immediately won the hearts of all viewers.

The famous TV presenter, actor and showman Yuri Nikolaev became the author and host of the program. It is worth noting that Yuri could not then find a sponsor to select a team, children, operators, rent premises ... The author of the program had to invest his own money in the program, borrowed from a bank.

The program was held on a competitive basis, in which the participants showed their skills in the vocal or dance genre, depending on age (age groups from 3 to 15 and from 15 to 22 years). The jury, consisting of four people, gave an assessment to each of the participants. The one with the most points advanced to the next round. In addition, the program included a competition for presenters and a competition for young performers of classical music, held jointly with the New Names Foundation.

I must say, "Morning Star" paved the way to fame for many now famous pop performers, such as Ani Lorak, Yulia Nachalova, Sergey Lazarev, and many others. The program, which lasted 12 years, was repeatedly awarded the highest awards, including international ones.

In his opinion, today there are few programs for teenagers on domestic television, and he would very much like to revive the Morning Star, but, unfortunately, this does not depend on him.

“When I conceived the program, I thought that if it lasts for several years, it will be great,” recalls Yuri Alexandrovich. - As a result, the transfer lasted 13 years. For the program, I think this is a very good indicator. Nevertheless, television goes further, new formats have appeared, new views from Channel One. The "Star Factory" appeared, which was considered similar to the "Morning Star", and my program was closed. It’s not that I’m offended, it’s just my brainchild, and, probably, I should have gone further, developed more. Although I was always introducing some new ideas, nominations, decorations. But, probably, it was necessary to change the form itself in accordance with the times. Of course, I dream of resuming Morning Star, but I think that it would hardly have sounded on Channel One. Now there is a children's "Voice", a very good program. Perhaps she would have gone on another channel. You see, now all channels have transformed my idea in one form or another, and now every channel has children's programs. Of course, what I came up with is an author's program. Now, alas, there are practically no copyright programs, and I don’t remember that since the 1990s someone has promoted their own brand. I did it and I'm happy that I did it."

"Love at first sight"

Love at First Sight is a television romantic game show. It aired from January 12, 1991 to August 31, 1999 on the RTR TV channel. The very first episode of the program was filmed in London, in the studio where the English version of "Love at first sight" was filmed. The hosts of the program were Alla Volkova and Boris Kryuk. And the voice of Hook now sounds in the program “What? Where? When?".

In 2011, an attempt was made to revive the show with slightly modified rules on the MTV channel, but the attempt was unsuccessful. The transfer in this form lasted less than six months.

There are still analogues of the TV game, but “Love at First Sight” has remained for our viewers one of the brightest and most unusual programs of the Soviet period. First of all, the audience loved her for her mystery and romance. There was no vulgarity in it, which is now in abundance on the modern television screen.

Rules of the game

The action took place in two stages. On the first day, three girls and three guys met for the first time in the studio, where they answered the insidious questions of the presenters. At the end of the game, by simultaneously pressing the buttons, it was determined who sympathized with whom. If the participants' opinions matched those of the computer, the happy couple went to a restaurant to get to know each other better and prepare for the next stage.

On the next day, the participants were asked to answer the questions of the presenters, how the partner (sha) would behave in a given situation. The correct answer gave the right to one shot, which were realized at the end of the game. Shooting was carried out in sectors, behind which were various prizes, including the main one - "Romantic Journey". When they hit the "Broken Heart", the game stopped and the couple lost everything "that was acquired by overwork."

Subsequently, the rules changed somewhat - the pair for the second stage began to be determined by the vote of the audience in the studio, and the number of heart sectors decreased (but the Broken Heart sector disappeared). The main idea of the program - the creation of a happy married couple, for whom a romantic trip would be a wedding gift, remained.

End of love

In this form, "Love" lasted until the end of August 1999. After the closing of this show, Alla got married for the third time and disappeared from the screens. However, she did not stop her creative activity, becoming the editor of the Igra-TV production center.

But Boris Kryuk remained in front of the public, hosting the program “What? Where? When?".

"50x50"

"50x50" is an information and entertainment music program for young people that appeared on television in 1989. The symbol of the program was a branded screensaver in the form of a zebra. The people of the TV show got the nickname "Fifty-Fifty". The name reflected the concept of the program: half music and half information, half of the invitees are already well-known pop stars and half are beginners.

The informational part told about the news in the world of show business, musical events.

Among other things, the program showed new video clips, interviewed stars, organized contests and quizzes from Russian pop stars and sponsors.

First broadcast

The program first aired on CT's First Program in 1989. From 1989 to 1991, Sergey Minaev was the host. In 1990, Alexey Veselkin became his co-host, they spent several issues together.

In 1991, the program was hosted by Veselkin alone, a little later Ksenia Strizh became his co-host, and in 1993 the director of the program, Nikolai Fomenko, replaced her with Dina Rubanova. Veselkin led some issues alone. In 1992, the program aired on the 2x2 TV channel, but soon returned to the 1st Ostankino channel. Several issues in 1992 were held by Nikolai Fomenko and Sergey Kalvarsky.

The program "Morning Mail" went on the air in 1974. It aired consistently on Sundays at 11 am until the mid-90s.

The host was Yuri Nikolaev, but sometimes Shirvindt, Derzhavin, Shifrin, Vedeneeva, Akopyan, Shustitsky were broadcasting. The program was very popular with the Soviet audience. Even in the Soviet army, the weekend routine included the item “Viewing programs “I serve the Soviet Union” and “Morning mail”.

Rules

The concept of the program is the fulfillment of requests from the audience. According to the script, bags of letters came to the program, where the audience asked to fulfill the musical request. Nikolaev read an interesting letter and turned on a musical number. In fact, bags of letters, of course, came, but no one fulfilled these requests. Nikolaev said in an interview that if all applications were fulfilled, then there would be no one in the program except Pugacheva, Kobzon, Antonov and Rotaru. They just wrote a script with an interesting plot and acted out the host and the guests of the program, if they were invited.

Sunset of popularity

In the mid-90s, Nikolaev led a new project "Morning Star" and left the "Morning Post". The program immediately lost its ratings and moved to the ORT channel, where it was hosted by Cabaret Duet Academy, Sergei Minaev, and the Ponomarenko brothers. Later, Nikolaev returned to the transmission and tried to revive it, but to no avail. The transfer was safely forgotten.

Any person raising a dog could take part in the show. The competitions were evaluated by a jury, which usually included theater and film artists, popular pop singers, poets, composers, writers, directors.

After the capture of the NTV television company in April 2001, the program was temporarily suspended, and replays of the best moments of the old episodes were on the air. In the fall of 2001, the authors of the program decided to change the concept in connection with the move to a new studio. The dog walking yard was transformed into an elite dog club, and the image of the host, who became the owner of this club, also changed. But as before, the entrance to the studio was open to everyone without exception. A brass band also appeared in the studio.

Closing the transfer

In September 2002, the program, along with the program "Traveling a Naturalist", moved to Channel One.

However, the style of the studio and graphic design remained the same. In 2004, the NTV channel wanted to lure the Dog Show back to itself, but this never happened. The program finally ceased to exist in August 2005.

The children's entertainment program Call of the Jungle originally aired on Channel One on a weekly Saturday morning from 1993 to 1995 and on ORT every Wednesday from 1995 to 2002. Rules of the game

The game, as a rule, was attended by two teams - "predators" and "herbivores". Each team had 4 people.

Herbivores played in yellow T-shirts, which had images of animals on them. So, there were elephant, panda, koala, monkey participants. Predators played in red jerseys: crocodile, lion, panther and leopard.

Two teams competed in competitions like the Merry Starts. When the “herbivores” won in a particular competition, they were thrown a fake “banana” as one point. When the "predators" won, they threw a fake "bone". At the end of the game, the team that had the most bananas or bones in the basket by the end of the game won.

From 2006 to September 12, 2009, the episodes shown on ORT from 1995 to January 12, 2002 were rerun on the former Telenanny channel. Since June 1, 2011, episodes of 1993-1994 have been repeated on the Nostalgia channel.

"Sex with Anfisa Chekhova"

The erotic show "Sex with Anfisa Chekhova" has been released in Russia since 2000. The author of the idea and permanent presenter Anfisa Chekhova has been collecting materials for many years to acquaint viewers with her findings. Considering the nature of the broadcast, it was usually put on either at midnight or a little later. Specially invited male strippers helped Anfisa reveal the innermost secrets of her sexual life.

The first issue of the program "Windows" was released on the STS channel on May 20, 2002. And immediately gathered a huge audience at the screens. After all, spying on the neighbors through the keyhole is a curious and beloved by many people. And in the program, non-childish passions were in full swing: offended wives pulled out the hair of their husband's mistresses, men fought because of the slightest insults, both strippers and transvestites came to the program, and, of course, all this was accompanied by obscene language. The audience has never seen such a show! On Channel One there were similar programs with similar washing of bones and digging in dirty linen: “The Big Laundry”, “My Family”, but it seemed that there were still some kind of framework. In "Windows" they were completely erased.

There was another factor why the audience liked the show so much. He was led by the charming Dmitry Nagiev in a shirt unbuttoned on his chest and with long curly hair. He was not shy in expressions, sometimes he himself pushed the foreheads of the guests, and his “everything, bye, bye” is still remembered by the audience.

Plot

The idea and style of the program is copied from The Jerry Springer Show, which has been on the air since 1991.

Usually the plot of the program developed according to the following scheme: Dmitry Nagiev explained the background of the conflict, then the participants were invited to the studio one by one. The heroes dealt with each other verbally or with the use of force. In this case, by the way, there was a “security service” in the studio, consisting of two strong men, whose goal was to separate the fighting.

After the end of the discussion, the host announced the "gong" and invited the audience to speak about the problem, and each was given exactly ten seconds. So, for one program, three different stories were analyzed, which were not connected in any way.

Latest release

A few months after the start of the broadcast of the program, the newly appeared TVS channel wanted to lure the rating “Windows” to itself. But the author of the scandalous talk show, Valery Komissarov, changed his mind at the last moment and canceled the deal.

In 2002, the new CEO of the STS channel, Alexander Rodnyansky, decided to close Okna. And from July 22, 2002, the program began to appear on the TNT channel. True, the rest of the summer, until September 1, was also played on STS on the old editions of Okon.

In February 2005, the last block of programs was filmed, and in the same year the talk show was closed due to fading ratings. The fact is that by this moment the audience was finally convinced that all the characters are dummy actors. At first, many still believed that these were real people who dared to come to the program in order to sort out their family affairs. But attentive viewers began to notice that in some issues the characters are repeated, but the stories they tell do not match.

“I’ll tell you a secret: during the existence of the program, there was not a single real hero in it,” Dmitry admitted a few years after the show closed. - So far, no one has repeated the success of "Windows". Imagine when a channel with a share of 3.4% (professionals should understand this) gives 26%. It's like an ant carrying an elephant. It was like this.

The talk show was closed in 2007 at the initiative of Lolita herself. The singer admitted that this work terribly exhausted her.

“There is no secret here, I was just tired and left,” Lolita said. - I passed all the stories through myself, delved into the essence of each, got madly tired and, as a result, broke down from overexertion. Physically, at that time, I passed too much, because television is not my only job. And I was not satisfied with the installation of the program. What took place on the site was livelier and richer than what went on the air. I'm talking about technical flaws. Julia did not want to follow in the footsteps of her star parents, and this was her first attempt to do something on her own. In just a few months, she has already become one of the most popular, most recognizable TV presenters on the Russian television screen.

Plot

Celebrities, experts in various fields and the most ordinary people gathered in the studio to talk openly, argue about pressing issues: “I don’t love my child”, “My husband joined a sect”, etc. In different periods of the talk show going on the air, Yulia Menshova had co-hosts: playwright and prose writer Irina Khrisanfova, psychologist Olga Serdobova, writer Maria Arbatova.

"Lucky case"

On domestic television, the family TV show appeared in 1989. This is not the know-how of our producers, but an analogue of the American show "Race for the Leader". Each edition was attended by two teams (families), consisting of four people. They answered the intellectual questions of the presenter, each other, viewers. Based on the results of 5 rounds, the winner was determined. The team, which managed to win four games in a row, received unthinkable prizes at that time: a TV, a VCR and a music center.

Rules

The rules of the quiz have changed over time. Initially, on the table in front of the teams there was a playing field with colored sectors, indicating the topics of the questions. After 1994 this field disappeared. True, a new round appeared, where pop stars, actors, athletes asked questions to the participants. The ratings for Lucky Chance were crazy until 1999. After moving from ORT to TVC, the program lasted another couple of months, and then completely closed.

From the very first issue, the quiz was hosted by Mikhail Marfin, who, one might say, along with Voroshilov, instilled in Russians a love for smart games. The order of answers is determined by the button on the table of participants: whoever clicked first - first and answered. Accordingly, the intensity of passions due to competitive struggle intensified.

The first few issues in the early 90s were conducted by Voroshilov himself. In 1991, Andrei Kozlov, one of the experts in the elite club, became the leader of the project. In addition to him, Alexander Druz, Boris Burda, Vladimir Belkin took part in the Brain Ring at different times.

What now?

The game was attended by 6 teams, each of which consisted of a participant - a schoolboy of about 8-10 grades and one of his parents, less often a teacher or friend. Parents answered all the questions at the same time with the children, bringing them extra points. If the parent gave three incorrect answers, then he left the game. In the points season, there was no sign "0" (there is no correct answer), zero round. The difference between the first and second only affected the order of naming the words in the final.

star season

The star was given for the correct answer of both the participant and the parent in the first and third rounds; in the second, the parent has the longest word, the participant has the longest word, and they received a different number of stars from game to game. The difference in stars gave a handicap in the final: the one who cannot say a word or give a star loses.

If all members should receive a star on one basis, then no one did. It became especially important in the later games, since the record was 9 stars (+1 for opening the red box), and with such a number no one reached the final: it was guaranteed that you could get only 3 + 2 + 2, in the first round you need three the players made a mistake, and in the third - so that the opponents gave the correct answer to the same question or made a mistake.

Zero tour

A gift for the presenter is a craft or a performance. At the beginning, the host gave a star to those who cooked. But after everyone began to cook, the star was given only to the best. Once, the host gave a star to the only contestant who didn't cook anything.

First tour

In the first round, the participants were offered eight objects or concepts indicated on the video board, and asked questions, the answers to which were these objects. The answers were given by lifting up the plates with numbers - the numbers of the answers (respectively, from 1 to 8).

Second round

At the beginning of the second round, 10 large cubes with letters on their faces poured out of the pipe (later - 9 with a star replacing any letter). Those letters that appeared on the upper faces (looking up) were taken for the task. It was necessary to form words from these letters, using as many of the dropped letters as possible. The words were also composed by the parents. For the longest word among the parents, the participant received 50 points. For their words, all participants received 50 points for each letter. Later, a star was awarded for the longest word for the participant, and another one for the parent. In some cases, they received three if they matched.

There was also a game with spectators according to the rules: the spectators who were the first to name each word, if it was the longest that was composed, came out. Then there was one prize: which one - you have to guess (they asked a question in turn, to which you can answer “yes” / “no”). And get a prize if the presenter answered “yes” to the exact, sometimes close, name of the subject).

At least three players advanced to the third round. Those with the longest words came out first. Then those who made shorter words, but had the most points (stars). With equal points, everyone passed.

Prize competition

In the points season: the player who made up the longest word (if several, then the one who scored the most points in the 1st-2nd rounds, in case of equality, an additional question was asked) had the right to choose a prize. Prizes were hidden in five numbered boxes, it was necessary to point to the correct box. The player could keep the prize or open another one (up to three boxes). If two had the same number of points (which was rare, they needed equality in the first round), then an additional question was asked.

In the star season: the player with the longest word (if more than one, then the one with the most stars) had the right to choose a prize. Prizes were hidden in seven boxes of different colors and sizes, it was necessary to point to the right box. A star was taken for opening each box. If you do not like the prize, then you can leave it and open another one. One of the boxes contained a star, giving the right to open another box for free. The red box may contain the best prize, but it may also be empty, after which it is impossible to open other boxes in any case (the rule was not introduced immediately). If two participants named a word of equal length and had an equal number of stars, they could open one box each, except for the red one. If there was a star, then he opened the second one for free, "Applause" - for a fee. Sometimes the participants opened the boxes, and there was nothing there...

Third round

In the third round, 4 (later 3) objects or concepts appeared on the scoreboard. For each question, unlike the first round, different items appeared. It was necessary either to indicate which of the objects or concepts is superfluous, or by raising two tablets at once to show which of the objects must be swapped so that they are located in a certain order. It was evaluated similarly to the first round.

In the late games, the parents did not answer the question, but only the first one to raise the sign and with the correct answer received. The rule changed the strategy: for the leader (who reached the final) there was a theoretical opportunity to be the first to raise the sign, but it is necessary that both opponents answered correctly or both made a mistake, and that an equal number of stars was previously scored. The lagging behind had to be the first to raise the sign, otherwise they would not go to the final. Only two players qualified for the final.

The final

In the final, participants without parents (later with them) competed against each other, starting with the one with the lowest score. The winner was the one who made up more short words from one long one. For the word, named alone, received 20 points. For a word named with a parent, +10. If during the game the player scored 1000 points and won the final, he won the super prize.

After the tragic death of the host Sergei Suponev on December 8, 2001, the program ceased to exist. The last episode aired on January 16, 2002. They did not find a replacement for the host, although they tried Sergey Belogolovtsev and Kirill Suponev as new hosts. Parents presented their children as participants, and they, in turn, dreamed of the stage and their finest hour. And if the statements of viewers about other programs could be divided into good and bad, then there were no two opinions here - everything was fine and great!
The contestants performed in song and dance genres in two age categories. It turned out 4 rounds, two participants took part in each. The performer with the most points advanced to the next stage. The competition was evaluated by a representative jury, which included popular artists. This fact inspired the participants and spurred them on, as if they took the baton from the older generation.
The program also included creative competitions of classical music performers. And for the first time, a competition of TV presenters among girls was held. So it's safe to say that Morning Star was a forge of pop and television shots.
Viewers wanted to see the winners of all the children. After all, they all tried, laid out to the fullest. But competition is competition. And it was so nice to see that even the losers were not left without attention - it was they who were given gifts.
We evaluated the expediency of a completely unique transfer a little later. When, literally before our eyes, the stars that caught fire at the children's show ascended to the pop Olympus. After all, it was on the "Morning Star" that we first met Valeria, and Ani Lorak, and Sergey Lazarev, and Anzhelika Varum. Perhaps, you cannot list all the celebrities for whom the children's music program has become a successful start.
It is impossible not to recall the organizer and ideological inspirer of the program, Yuri Nikolaev. It was his idea, his brainchild. He put his soul, energy, love into the program. Few people believed in the idea, as he stated in an interview. Moreover, they didn’t really want to give money for the transfer either, and Nikolaev had to take out a loan from a bank. Today we can already say with certainty that Morning Star is a unique project. If modern programs of such a competitive format are Russified analogues of original Western projects, then Yuri Nikolaev's Sunday morning show was entirely and completely a domestic product.

The beginning of the 90s was characterized by a clear crisis, both for domestic cinema and television. Not having received state support and not finding private sponsors, Yuri Nikolaev was forced to take a huge risk, taking all financial matters upon himself.

The first episode of the television competition was shown to viewers on March 7, 1991, and since then the program has been aired every Sunday morning. An understandable format and bright talented youth made the "Morning Star" popular. Every week, the viewer was waiting for new stars, combining that unique spark of talent, combined with childish spontaneity and youthful naivety.

The rules of the competition were simple: two performers were presented in the nomination, and after the performance of both, the jury, consisting of four people, gave marks on a 5-point scale. The participant who scored the most points in total advanced, the less successful competitor was eliminated from the game.

There were two main genres in the competition program - vocal and dance. The competitors were divided into two age groups: the youngest - from 3 to 15 years old and the older - from 15 to 22. A little later, the folklore genre appeared, and it was the "Morning Star" that first introduced the audience to the magical folk voice of Pelageya. In the early years of the broadcast, a competition for young TV presenters was also held, but due to less entertainment, this nomination quickly outlived its usefulness.

For all 12 years, Yuri Nikolaev was the permanent host. Even at the beginning of his journey, it was decided to take some young talent as a second entertainer. At different times, Yu. Malinovskaya, M. Bogdanova, M. Skobeleva and others visited the role of co-host on the TV project “Morning Star”.

Instead of an afterword

By the early 2000s, the popularity of the TV project began to fall, neither the updated scenery nor the new competition rules helped. "Morning Star" changed its registration, moving from Channel One to TVC, and on November 16, 2003, the last release of the program took place.
