Interview

Alexey Nesterenko is an actor, host of the programs “Shishkin Les”, “Kind Word”, “Fairy Tales and Stories”, “Academy of Entertaining Sciences. Chemistry"

Born in Moscow. In 1988 he graduated from Moscow State University, Faculty of Soil Science. Since the age of 25 he has been working at the Moscow State University Student Theater (now MOST). After graduating from university, he worked for several years at Moscow secondary school No. 230. “The school is a theater, 6 performances a day. Working at school gave me pleasure, and the children liked it,” Alexey says about himself. After school, I worked for some time as a translator in the program “Yourself with a Mustache.”

In 2003, he joined the creative team of the children's editorial office, where he works to this day. Actor and presenter in the programs “Shishkin Les”, “Fairy Tales and Stories”, “Kind Word”, “Academy of Entertaining Sciences. Chemistry".

Very early on I realized that what I love most in life is communicating with people. And the more of these people there are, the better. That is why Alexey became not a chemistry professor, but an actor and TV presenter. And it seems that I was not mistaken!

— What did you dream of becoming as a child?

— As a child, I dreamed of becoming an astronomer, a mathematician, an archaeologist - in a word, I wanted to do science.

— What influenced your choice of profession?

— I was interested in chemistry from the seventh grade, I was a young chemist, I read the university textbook like a novel. Knew chemistry better than the teacher. But it is impossible to say that I was interested in chemistry because my father, mother and grandmother graduated from the Mendeleev Institute. There was no talk about chemistry at home, there were no test tubes in the corners. It’s the same with the theater: I studied in drama clubs, I was always in sight, on stage, but I didn’t plan to become an artist. When I entered the Faculty of Soil Science at Moscow State University (by the way, I went there with a friend for company!), I joined the propaganda team. Since 1986 he played in the Moscow State University Theater. I came there with V. Pelsh, A. Kortnev, I. Bogushevskaya. I was even a director-teacher! This is how my love for chemistry and passion for theater coexisted. In the end, the theater won: the hobby grew into the main profession. Rehearsals and performances began to take up all my time, and I had to leave school. Yes Yes! There was also such an act of self-sacrifice in my life: after university I went to school, taught chemistry, English, and world artistic culture there, and was on hand. But for everything to work out well, you can’t spread yourself thin, you need to devote yourself to one thing to the end. This business found me: I ended up on television.

— What don’t you like about modern television? What do you like?

— I have a negative attitude towards television. Why do bad things show so often? Is there really nothing good left in life? But you need to think about your soul, about your children, at least your own!

— What TV programs did you watch as a child? Which ones do your children watch?

— Like everyone else, I remember “Visiting a Fairy Tale,” “Alarm Clock,” “ABVGDEIKU.” The hosts of these programs loved children, their love flowed from the screen into us. And now I don’t have a TV in my house, it doesn’t work. I believe that if children are growing up in a family, they need to be protected from the harmful effects of modern television. Son Seryozha (he is five years old) watches good, kind cartoons. I also watched all my chemistry lessons!

— How did you get on the TV channel “My Joy”? What attracts you to working on it?

— On television, I worked in the program “Themselves with a Mustache”: I translated American episodes into Russian. There I met Marina Shramenko. When she invited me to do a new program “Shishkin Les”, I happily agreed and became one of its first three presenters. Good people have gathered here, and their goal is good.

— Do you like the role of the teacher in the program “Academy of Entertaining Sciences. Chemistry"?

“The hobby of youth has grown into a profession, and that’s exactly what happens.” I'm interested in chemistry, I don't play the professor, I don't memorize the text like a lesson - I really know this subject well and can teach it! I try to make every episode high-quality, and sometimes I have to work on the script for this. But I really like it!

— You host “Shishkino Les” programs, in which you have to communicate with young TV viewers. Tell me, is it possible to learn a children's language?

“You have to love children, that’s the main thing.” Only on this wave can mutual understanding be achieved. I’m lucky: my son is just now the age of the Shishkiny Les audience. Yes, and working at school taught me something. In any case, I firmly believe that children must be loved, their opinions must be taken into account! You need to love and understand how children live, then you can become closer to them. For example, I love our puppet characters like a child: Shunya, Zubka. This means that I already have common ground with our little viewers.

— In what capacity are you more interested: presenter or author?

— Being an author is interesting, but difficult, perhaps also because I write slowly. It so happens that I treat words with respect, a certain trepidation, so I work meticulously on the text. You always want to find the right phrase, the exact twist in the material. This is very interesting, this is a new type of work for me.

— Each person has his own idea of happiness. What does Alexey Nesterenko’s happiness look like?

- To love and be loved, to recognize others and to be recognized! This formula will suit everyone, I’m not original: everyone wants it. You just need to understand: in order to be loved and recognized, you need to love others. I thought for a long time about why I stayed in the theater, and I realized one simple thing: I just wanted to meet as many people as possible! I want to be with people, to be necessary for them. Maybe that’s why I have a lot of friends, acquaintances, and acquaintances. It is important to not be alone in this world.

I want to tell you a little story: one day my son and I had a very important conversation. We stood in a traffic jam and watched as a beggar approached one car, then another, begging for alms. I began to think out loud. Why does he ask strangers? How did he live, why was he left alone? Maybe there was a fire and all his belongings burned? He is not to blame for the fire that took everything from him. But he is to blame for being deprived of friends and loved ones who could help him. I said this, but I myself dreamed that my son would have reliable friends, that they would need him and that he could count on them. My boyfriend of five years seems to be on to something. He paused and suddenly said: “I would give him money, dad!” He understood why a person should be pitied!

Holy Epiphany. Baptism of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ

Day of celebration: 6th January

About the Feast of Holy Epiphany

The holiday is called Epiphany because at the Baptism of the Lord the Holy Trinity appeared to the world (Matthew 3:13-17; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 3:21-22). God the Father spoke from heaven about the Son, the Son was baptized by the holy Forerunner of the Lord John, and the Holy Spirit descended on the Son in the form of a dove. Since ancient times, this holiday was called the Day of Enlightenment and the Feast of Lights, because God is Light and appeared to enlighten “those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death” (Matthew 4:16) and to save the fallen human race by grace.

In the ancient Church there was a custom to baptize catechumens on the eve of Epiphany, since Baptism is the spiritual enlightenment of people.

The beginning of the feast of the Epiphany dates back to apostolic times. He is mentioned in the Apostolic Constitutions. The testimony of St. Clement of Alexandria about the celebration of the Baptism of the Lord and the night vigil performed before this holiday has been preserved from the 2nd century.

In the 3rd century, on the feast of the Epiphany, conversations during the divine service of the Holy Martyr Hippolytus and St. Gregory the Wonderworker are known. In subsequent centuries - from the 4th to the 9th centuries - all the great fathers of the Church - Gregory the Theologian, John Chrysostom, Ambrose of Milan, John of Damascus held special conversations about the feast of Epiphany. Saints Joseph the Studite, Theophanes and Byzantius wrote many hymns for this holiday, which are still sung during Divine services. The Monk John of Damascus said that the Lord was baptized not because He Himself needed purification, but in order to “bury human sin with the waters,” to fulfill the law, to reveal the sacrament of the Holy Trinity and, finally, to sanctify the “watery nature” and to give us an image and example Baptism.

The Holy Church on the feast of the Baptism of the Lord confirms our faith in the highest, incomprehensible mystery of the Three Persons of the One God and teaches us to equally honestly confess and glorify the Holy Trinity, Consubstantial and Indivisible; exposes and destroys the delusions of ancient false teachers who tried to embrace the Creator of the world with human thoughts and words. The Church shows the need for Baptism for believers in Christ, instills in us a feeling of deep gratitude to the Enlightener and Purifier of our sinful nature. She teaches that our salvation and cleansing from sins is possible only by the power of the grace of the Holy Spirit and therefore it is necessary to worthily preserve these grace-filled gifts of holy Baptism in order to preserve in the purity of that precious garment about which the feast of Epiphany tells us: “Those who were baptized into Christ, put on Christ "(Gal. 3:27).

Troparion to the Baptism of the Lord

In the Jordan I am baptized to You, O Lord,/ Trinitarian adoration appears:/ For the voice of your parents bears witness to You,/ calling Your beloved Son,/ and the Spirit in the form of a dove,/ telling your words./ Christ God appears, // and the world is enlightened, glory to You .

Translation: At Your baptism in the Jordan, Lord, the worship of the Trinity was revealed: for the voice of the Parent testified of You, calling You beloved Son, and the Spirit in the form of a dove confirmed His words as immutable. O Lord, who appeared to Christ and enlightened the world, glory to Thee!

Kontakion of the Baptism of the Lord

Thou hast appeared this day to the universe,/ and Thy light, O Lord, has come upon us,/ in the minds of those who sing Thee:/ Thou hast come, and Thou hast appeared,// an unapproachable light.

Translation: You appeared on this day to the universe, and Your light, O Lord, was imprinted on us, chanting You in the fullness of knowledge: “You have come, You have appeared, the unapproachable Light!”

Glorification of the Baptism of the Lord

We magnify You,/ Life-giving Christ,/ for our sake, now in the flesh, Baptized/ by John// in the waters of the Jordan.

Glorification of the Baptism of the Lord

Prayer for Epiphany
Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages, Light from Light, enlightening all things, in the last year from the Most Holy Virgin Mary incorruptible and incarnated into this world for salvation our coming! You did not suffer to see the human race tormented by the devil, and for this reason, on the bright day of Your Epiphany, you came to the Jordan to be a sinner and be baptized by John as a tax collector, You are a sinner, may you fulfill all righteousness and may you take away the sins of the whole world in the waters of the Jordan, like a Lamb God, to bear them on Yourself and redeem them with Baptism on the Cross, Your Most Pure Blood. For this reason, I immersed You in the waters, the heavens closed by Adam were opened to You, and the Holy Spirit descended on You in the form of a dove, bringing enlightenment and deification to our nature, and Your Divine Father I will tell You with a heavenly voice His good pleasure, for You have done His will and man has accepted His sins and you have already prepared for the slaughter, just as you yourself declared: “For this sake the Father loves me, for I lay down my soul, that I may receive it again,” and so on this bright day, You, Lord, , you laid the beginning of our redemption from the Fall ancestor. For this reason all the powers of heaven rejoice and all creation rejoices, awaiting their liberation from the work of destruction, saying: Enlightenment has come, grace has appeared, deliverance has come, the world has enlightened and people are filled with joy. Let heaven and earth rejoice today, and let the whole world play; let the rivers splash; Let springs and lakes, abysses and seas rejoice, for their nature has been sanctified today by Divine Baptism. Let the congregation of men rejoice today, for their nature has now returned to the first nobility and they all sing with joy: The time of the Epiphany. Come mentally to the Jordan, we will see a great vision in it: Christ is coming to Baptism. Christ comes to Jordan. Our Christ buries our sins in water. Christ comes to look for the kidnapped and lost sheep and brings her into heaven.

As we celebrate the remembrance of this Divine sacrament, we fervently pray to You, O Lord who loves mankind: grant us, who thirst for Your voice, to come to You, the Source of ever-living waters, that we may draw Your grace and the forgiveness of our sins and the renunciation of wickedness and worldly lusts; Let us live chastely and virginally, righteously and piously in this present age, waiting for the blessed hope and the manifestation of Thy glory, the Great God and our Savior, that Thou mayest save us not from our deeds, but according to by your mercy and by the renewal of Your Holy Spirit through the washing of regeneration, which abounds Thou hast poured out that, having been justified by His grace, we will be heirs of eternal life in Thy Kingdom, where with all the saints grant us to glorify Thy all-holy Name with Thy Beginning with the Father and with Your Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Reading the Gospel with the Church

We read the Gospel together with the Church. Gospel of Matthew. Chapter 3, Art. 1-11.

1 In those days John the Baptist comes and preaches in the desert of Judea 2 and says: Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

3 For he is the one about whom the prophet Isaiah said: the voice of one crying in the wilderness: prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

4 John himself had clothes made of camel's hair and a leather belt around his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey.

5 Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the region around Jordan came out to him 6 and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

7 When John saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to him to be baptized, he said to them: You brood of vipers! who inspired you to flee from future wrath?

8 produce fruit worthy of repentance 9 and do not think to say within yourself, “We have Abraham as our father,” for I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.

10 Already the ax lies at the root of the trees: every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

11 I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who comes after me is mightier than I; I am not worthy to carry His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire;

(Matthew 3:1-11.)

THE TRUTH OF GOD: Word on the Sunday after the Nativity of Christ, on the day of remembrance of David the King, Joseph the Betrothed and the Apostle James, brother of the Lord

P Involuntarily, reflecting on these events, the question arises in us, why is there so much injustice in the world? Why were these fourteen thousand innocent babies allowed to die? Why did King David, the Apostle James, and Saint Dositheus suffer? What is justice? If we think about the origin of this word, we will, of course, associate it with the word “truth”, “righteousness”, “right side” - in Slavic “gum”.

« E There is a truth that is within ourselves, requiring us to give everyone their due, and although we do not achieve this exactly, however, acting with a truthful disposition, we do not deviate far from the goal. And there is a truth that comes to us from Heaven from the righteous Judge - a truth that either corrects or rewards, in which much is incomprehensible to us in terms of the height of the definitions contained in it.”
