Typically, a person performing on stage and not wanting to “shine” his own name chooses a beautiful, sonorous pseudonym that allows him to stand out from the crowd. This approach is also used by adherents of rap: Purulent, Scryptonite, Ptah - such names are difficult not to remember. But few people would dare to be called a “little stupid pig.” But, nevertheless, such a comrade was found: the abbreviation for the English Lil’ Stupid Pig - LSP - was chosen for the creative pseudonym by the Belarusian rapper Oleg Savchenko.

Childhood and youth

Oleg was born in July 1989 in Vitebsk into a family of journalists. From an early age, the boy became interested in pop music; his parents encouraged his hobby and even hired a piano teacher. With age, Oleg's interests shifted to the rock stage. Even later, when the young man heard Timati’s tracks, Savchenko realized that only rap reflected his inner mood.

When he came of age, Oleg presented himself with a gift in the form of an official mixtape called “I Got Everything!”, from the very first lines he stated without embarrassment:

“Hello everyone, here I am – one very cunning pig.”

The album was called lopsided, the performer’s vocal abilities were called weak, but the composition “And I rap” was called the best. At the same time, a new name appeared - LSP. Over time, in an interview, the musician voiced various interpretations of the pseudonym: “a ray is stronger than a bullet”, “a loving heart of a boy”, “lies, passion and vices”; he called the “better ask later” version his favorite.

Despite the fact that Savchenko devoted himself entirely to music, the future rap star managed to get a higher education at the Minsk State Linguistic University. But the diploma as a linguist teacher went on the shelf.

Following the debut album, the collection “Here We Come Again” was released. Two years later, the result of joint work with hip-hoppers Deech and Maxie Flow was released - the mini-album “No Appeals”.

LSP has collaborated to one degree or another with Aes Genius Yung Trappa Oxxxymiron Pharaoh Yanix, Big Russian Boss. Since 2011, it is customary to count the beginning of LSP’s solo career. Then the solo album “Seeing Colorful Dreams” was released, songs from which the musician had previously posted on the Internet. In the same year, the video for the single “Hippie” was released.

In 2012, LSP became a duo: Oleg was joined by beatmaker Roma Sashchenko, known as Roma the Englishman. Roman was responsible for mixing the release of Oleg’s debut solo album; in addition to composing, he essentially took the place of producer in the team. Almost immediately after joining forces, the musicians released the singles “Numbers” and “Why do I need this world” with a video for it.

A year later, the talented duo presented the singles “More Money”, “Lilvane”, “Cocktail” to the audience. All songs were included in the charts of the best songs for the month, and the last one was called a diamond in the brostep genre and was awarded third place in the top best for 2013.

In 2014, two albums were released at once - “YOP” and “Hangman”. The rapper Galat participated in the recording of the first one. The album brought together both new and already published songs: “Rope”, “Pikachu”, “City”, “Numbers”. Fans called the composition “Why Do I Need This World” a witty exercise in the field of dance music. The songs “Vinaigret” and “Lost and Not Found” were later embodied in videos.

The album "Gallows" includes 8 songs. The name was borrowed from the St. Petersburg punk band Chimera, famous in the nineties. The album was in the top three for 2014 and in the top 20 of the first ten years of the new century. Critics noted that in his songs Oleg, unlike other rappers, successfully acted as a storyteller. On some Belarusian rap sites, the composition “Better than the Internet” was put in first place out of everything that the musician has published to date.

In 2014, LSP was taken under the wing of the executive director of the booking agency Booking Machine, Miron Fedorov, also known as rap artist Oksimiron. Together with him, LSP released the song “I’m Bored of Living,” which in the same year was recognized as the best according to The Flow, as well as a collaboration with Yung Trappa called “MLD.”

Oleg himself considers the song “Force Field” from the album “Romantic Colegtion”, released at the beginning of 2015, to be one of the best. Listeners praised the pop-funk composition “SPVL”.

After 4 months, the release of the next album, “Magic City,” was announced. Oksimiron, Pharaoh, Stepan Karma and Sil-A participated in the recording. Thanks to this work, Roman Sashchenko and Oleg Savchenko acquired an army of fans in the Russian rap space. Videos were shot for the songs “Madness” and “OK”.

LSP’s creative biography took a sharp turn in the summer of 2015: the musicians refused to cooperate with Booking Machine, considering that the scope of the contract limited their performances, although it was at this time that LSP began active touring. Moreover, both sides supported the conflict with mutual video messages on pages on social networks, without choosing expressions, they outlined their vision of the situation. At this point, contacts stopped altogether.

In September 2016, LSP presented a joint project with Pharaoh, “Confectionery” - an album of six tracks. In support of the collaboration, the musicians announced a tour called “Cake Factory”. Also this year, LSP released “Spit into Eternity,” “Miracle-Parole,” and a remix of “Madness.”

In the spring of 2017, the continuation of “Magic City” was released - “Tragic City”, a collection of 13 songs. The first video for the album was the video for the song “Coin”, in which Roman the Englishman appeared for the only time. The video set a record for views - more than 25 million.

The popular performer gave a candid interview about a friend whose life was tragically cut short last year. Oleg Savchenko from “LSP” became the new guest of the “vDud” show. During the episode, Oleg talked a lot about his career, plans for the future and, of course, about Roma the Englishman.

In the new episode of the show “vDud” the guest was Oleg Savchenko, the frontman of the group “LSP”. The performer invited Yuri Dud to visit him and talked very openly with him about the past and future. As usual, during the conversation there was a lot of swearing, talking about sex, illegal substances and big plans.

As part of the episode, Oleg talked about topics that concern fans and gave answers to questions that he had avoided for a long time. Let us recall that last year, under tragic circumstances, the composer and producer of the LSP group, Roman Sashchenko, better known under the pseudonym Roma the Englishman, passed away. They tried to hide the causes of death, but everyone understood that a drug overdose was to blame. And now, after a long time, Oleg spoke quite openly about this topic for the first time.

First, Oleg remembered how he met Roma and at what point they decided to create a group. Savchenko admitted that he quickly became close to the Englishman and even began to consider him the brother he never had.

“I had an episode - “Seeing Colorful Dreams”, it was brought together by a guy from Mogilev. Cool, smart dude. He helped mix the release, and it turned out that he had a friend who helped him in all aspects - Roma. The two of them wanted to do something in the style of Major Lazer or Diplo. The two of them were doing such a project at that time. Roma listened to what he did for me, joked around and somehow ended up at our party in Mogilev. (...) And we are like that with him<заболтались>. Everyone had already started to go home, and we then stayed in the kitchen and talked. I gave him an enthusiastic<фигню>, <понтовался>and spoke smart words. And he agreed. We caught the wave. I realized that he was a cool guy, and we agreed to catch up in Minsk,” Oleg recalled.

The very next day Oleg sent Roma a text that he really wanted to make music for and asked the Englishman to work on the arrangement. Almost immediately the composer sent him a minus track, which perfectly matched the words.

“I turn it on, sing it and everything goes away,” recalls Oleg. - You know, it’s like “that same” guy with a guitar in the yard - no matter what you ask, he knows everything. And he plays to one tune like “Battery,” and everything falls on it, roughly speaking.”

Then the Englishman used dubstep in the arrangement. This was already fashionable in the world, but in Minsk, where Roman is from, it had not yet taken root. At first, the musicians worked on business terms, and then they became related and became the LSP group.

It’s hard for Oleg to talk about the prohibited substances that “took” the life of his close friend. According to him, these are Roma’s secrets that he would like to hide from prying eyes.

“Roma is part of my family. I very quickly began to treat him like a brother and accepted him with all my heart.<фигней>like a brother. It is still difficult for a performer to remember the day when a close friend passed away. Interestingly, Savchenko feels relieved. Shortly before the death of the Englishman, the friends did not see each other for a couple of weeks, which, as Oleg now claims, subsequently helped him accept what happened relatively calmly.

“Denya Astapov called me and said: “Everything has happened.” And I understood everything,” Oleg shares his memories. - This is not easy news, I received these<тумаков>informational. When I went through all this, I began to think about what to do next.”

After entering university, the guy had his first successes in his musical career. In 2007, Oleg recorded his first track “I understood everything”, and in the same year he tried himself on the hip-hop.ru site, where he completed 4 rounds. At the same time, compositions such as “Magician” and “Streets” appeared, included in Oleg’s first mini-album “Seeing Colorful Dreams” (July 1, 2011).

“The crazy hippie became my father, the metalhead in torn jeans became my mother,” and the atmospheric song “Hippie.” And on July 1, the country saw a video for this composition, amateur, strange, but the melody of the song won out over the not very professional picture.

Meeting Roma, first successes

At one of the parties, Oleg met Roma, the guys immediately realized that they had a lot in common. After some time, the result of joint creativity appeared - the song “Numbers”, which raised the group to a new level. From that moment on, Roma and Oleg began to work together with special diligence on each track. Result: the solo project turned into the duet "LSP". A group whose composition and songs won the hearts of rap lovers.

The group's next hit was the track "Cocktail", released in 2013. It was already different from previous compositions, since during this period “LSP” experimented with genres.

2014 was a very fruitful year for the group. They released two whole albums: “YOB” and “Hangman”. The guys' division of labor worked like a charm here too: Roma wrote the music, and Oleg wrote the lyrics. From that moment on, LSP albums began to be built on heroes, on their destinies and stories. From melodic hipster hop, the guys move on to more aggressive lyrics. The public and critics greeted both albums with a bang, and “LSP” gained even greater authority among hip-hop culture. The new image of the LSP group, in which Roma appeared, attracted more and more attention.

Conflict with Booking Machine

In 2014, the guys signed a contract with the famous booking agency Booking Machine. The group was advised to the head of the agency Ilya Mamai by the famous rapper Oxxymiron. He vouched for the guys, while Mamai did not see anything special in them. After signing a contract, together with Miron, LSP recorded the track “I'm Bored of Life,” which The Flow website included in the list of the best 50 songs of 2014.

A year later, the guys break their contract with the agency. In 2015, LSP had very few concerts, and they blamed Booking Machine for this. Oxxymiron asked the group not to advertise their departure, but the guys, on the contrary, began to trumpet this to everyone, and in a particularly critical manner. On April 1, 2016, LSP presented their new track Imperial, recorded together with rapper Porchy. It was a diss (a trend in hip-hop) on Oxxymiron, thanks to which “LSP” became known to a wide audience. But the song is unique in that it also contains Miron’s diss to the guys. The first diss in history, which reflected, according to The Flow, “the clash of two heroes of a generation.” The whole country watched this conflict with awe, and Oxxymiron even posted an hour-long video on his Youtube channel, where he explained his vision of this clash.

Magic City

On July 19, the album Magic City was released, in the creation of which Oleg participated for the most part as the main soloist of the LSP group, but Roma was still involved in the production, and he also produced. The strip club was called the magical city "LSP", and it is depicted on the cover of the album. However, critics had mixed reactions to the new release. In their opinion, the album lacked the integrity of the plot, and there was too much oppressive melancholy and melancholy in it. Magic City definitely appealed to LSP fans, but it failed to surpass the success of past albums.

Confectionery
