Today I want to show you another fancy yarn scarf.
It is not very warm, but it is a bright decoration for early autumn.

1. For such a scarf, you will need ribbon yarn with a large mesh. You can take Flamenko from Yarn Art or Dantell from Alize.

2. This yarn is more like a ribbon of openwork fabric than a thread. And, at first glance, it is puzzling: how to knit from it?

4. When knitting, the upper edge of the strip is used as a thread. The rest forms frills.

For the first row, simply cast on the required number of stitches. You can type in each cell, or you can through one. In this case, the scarf will be more wavy. My scarf needs 8 loops.

5. We turn the knitting needles, remove the first ashes and start knitting, threading the grid cell ( green arrow) into the loop on the needle (blue arrow). We knit all rows with facial loops.

6. If you knit by threading each cell (as in the photo above), the scarf will be quite smooth. To make the frills more magnificent, you can knit in each even row not in every cell, but through one.

7. Continue knitting until you get a scarf of the desired length. One skein of thread (100 grams) is just enough for a scarf.

8. Secure the end of the thread with a knot. Shake the scarf well, pull the frills into different sides to line up the loops.

The scarf takes about 150 gr. You also need very thick knitting needles, number 8 or 10. Before starting knitting, unwind 10 meters of yarn and straighten it carefully to avoid further twisting.

We collect 6-8 loops along the edge of the yarn, it is best to dial through one, skipping the loop. To do this, simply drag the knitting needle through the loops located at the top of the braid. We knit in this way to the end of the row. Again, turn the knitting clockwise and knit the third row in the same way as the second.

Loops are recruited from the top edge, 6-7 loops are enough for a narrow scarf. Then knit with facial and it is better not for each next loop, but through one, so that the shuttlecocks turn out to be more airy.

Advice! To work with ribbon yarn, it is better to take large knitting needles, then the thread does not run away when knitting!

It is not recommended to wash things knitted from ribbon yarn in a typewriter, they will completely lose their shape and textured appearance.
After washing, do not wring out, but it is better to carefully spread out on a flat, dry towel.
Do not iron or do it very carefully, but rather in this case use water vapor.
It is strongly not recommended to unravel things from ribbon yarn, the thing will be damaged, and the thread can no longer be returned to its original state.
