After filling out another questionnaire and discussing the menu, the women identified me with the operational nickname “student” and promised to call me back within six months, explaining the delay by the fact that they already had too many people who wanted to become TV stars.

It’s curious, but in the evening of the next day my phone literally blew up with calls from the “Dinner Party” producers, who demanded that I come to the office “tomorrow, otherwise we’re filming next week.” Having difficulty believing in my luck, I said a firm “yes” to the annoying women and prepared to conquer the domestic show business.

Having signed the contract, I put myself in the caring hands of the producers for a week - one day for dinner at the home of each participant in the show. Our “working day” began at approximately 10 a.m. and ended after midnight. We spent the first half of the day within the walls of Amedia, where, under the guns of cameras, we shared gossip and expectations for the upcoming dinner. Then, sitting on the tail of the extremely taciturn operators, in a rusty Gazelle they went to visit the hero or heroine of the evening.

I met three other participants in the project on the staircase, where the crowded “TV stars” were waiting for the dishes to be prepared and testing out competitors. The only hope for unbridled fun was a thick-browed young man in a tracksuit - he introduced himself as an arm wrestler Spartan and began to load his innocent interlocutors with his plans to conquer Hollywood.

After waiting for two hours on the staircase, especially hungry, I was introduced to the fourth participant - TV presenter and choreographer Christina. A short tour of the apartment, looking at the contents of the girl’s closets, and the other guests and I were finally allowed to a table surrounded by cameras and fairly sweaty cameramen.

No one managed to eat properly: the producers intervened in the sluggish small talk and began to pit us against each other, demanding that the conflict develop. “Do you understand that your conversations are of no interest to anyone? The second day of the competition was marked by the departure of saleswoman Marina, who, apparently, only a day later realized that “Dinner Party” was not about cooking at all. The arm wrestler was especially hard hit: it turned out that the “future Hollywood star” had no idea what Sparta was, and his knowledge of ancient history was limited to the film “300 Spartans.” However, this did not stop him from luring me onto the access balcony and proposing an alliance. “We’ll split the money,” he said, not knowing that I had long ago given him ten points out of a hundred.

It’s hard to believe, but after a week of working together, I, Spartan, Nikita, Elena and Christina got along, exchanged phone numbers, forgot all the insults and continued to communicate.
