    The Scandinavian school, the ZIL Cultural Center, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Moscow invite you to the family and youth festival “Norway Day”, which will take place on May 20 from 12:00 to 22:00 at the site of the ZIL Cultural Center (Moscow, Vostochnaya str., building 4 , building 1, Avtozavodskaya metro station). The festival is held with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Moscow and the Norwegian Tourism Council VisitNorway.ru.

    Every year the Kingdom of Norway arouses more and more interest in Russia. The centuries-old history of our northern neighbor, traditions passed down from generation to generation, and rich culture attract young people, adults, and children. Our festival is dedicated to the Norwegian Constitution Day on May 17, one of the most grandiose and beautiful holidays in the country, which the Norwegians themselves celebrate with festive processions in national costumes.

    This year you will find an even more intense program: open lessons, musical performances, films, master classes, thematic zones, markets, photo zones, artist performances, exciting sports grounds, exhibitions, flash mobs and, of course, special guests from Norway, which will be able to introduce you more closely to your native Norwegian culture. The real Norwegians will come to us! You will be able not only to see them, but also to communicate and attend meetings with festival guests.

    A unique lecture program has been developed for all guests: more than 20 lectures on culture, art, literature, sports, music and tourism in Norway.

    Food lovers will be able to visit the food court areas and try special Scandinavian dishes.

    A whole day of Norwegian atmosphere awaits you, and at the end of the festival you can attend a concert of Norwegian musical groups.

    The main guest of the Norway Day festival is the Norwegian singer, musician and violinist, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, Alexander Rybak.

    Special musical guest of the festival Bellman

    Bellman is an alternative rock singer and songwriter from the Norwegian city of Larvik. In 2009, his debut album “Mainly Mute” was released, which was positively received by critics and listeners. Rules for participation in the competition

The competition is held only for citizens of the Russian Federation living in the Russian Federation. At the time of submission of the competition entry, the age of the competition participant must be 16 years or older. The competition participant must indicate his first and last name, age, city of residence, and contact information.

To participate in the competition you need:

  • subscribe to the public page of the Norwegian Tourist Board on VKontakte.
  • prepare a competition entry;
  • upload a file with an image of the work* in a specially created competition album “Invite a friend to Norway - 2” on the public page of the Norwegian Tourist Board on VKontakte.
  • become a participant in the official meeting of the Norway Day festival on VKontakte

One participant can participate once. If a participant has posted 2 or more photographs, the first one posted in the album will take part in the competition.

The work can be done using any technique. The essence is a call or invitation to go to Norway. It could be a drawing, poster, collage, photograph, video, audio, Internet page, poem, story, etc.

*A photograph, print screen or other image of the work is posted in the competition album. In the comment under the posted image, you can indicate a link to a resource where the work is presented in full (video, Internet portal, etc.).


Prizes

The main prize of the competition was provided by the Norwegian Tourist Board VISITNORWAY.RU and is a trip to Norway for two people. The tour includes air travel from Moscow or St. Petersburg to Oslo and back, 3 nights accommodation in a standard double room at a hotel chosen by the organizer with breakfast. Prize trip period: from June 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. Duration of the trip: 4 days/3 nights. Travel dates must be previously agreed with the Norwegian Tourist Board. Number of main prizes of the competition: 1 (one).

Special prizes from the company CHOUDO “Scandinavian School”, awarded by the jury to the authors of the two best works after determining the main winner of the competition:

  • certificate for free training in the Norwegian language at intensive courses at the Scandinavian School (72 hours, June-July 2017). Number of prizes: 1 (one).
  • gift set of Norwegian souvenirs. Number of prizes: 1 (one).

There are also incentive prizes - branded festival T-shirts and other prizes at the discretion of the organizers. An incentive prize is awarded by the jury weekly to the author of the best work submitted during the last week of the competition.

Prizes can be received at the festival.

The result of this competition depends on the skills of the participants. From the entries received and meeting the requirements, the jury will select the main winner based on an objective assessment of the following criteria: originality, creativity and relevance to the given topic. The jury that will determine the winners includes representatives of the Norwegian Tourist Board, representatives of the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow and representatives of the Scandinavian School.
